group can enjoy a completely bespoke celebration.

Love Grows Beautiful Things
You couldn’t have picked a more beautiful or romantic place to celebrate your marriage. As your love grows in your new life together, we invite you to mark the special occasion by
sponsoring a coral fragment, so that it can begin its new life as you begin yours.
‘Love Grows Beautiful Things’ enables you to support the Petite Anse Reef Restoration Project by sponsoring a coral
fragment together as a couple.
During this experience, WiseOceans, our onsite marine educators, can help you discover the marine life of Petite
Anse. They will show you our underwater coral nursery, where your sponsored coral fragment will grow until it is
strong enough to be transplanted back onto the reef.
With your help, we hope to reach our goal of restoring 10,000 square metres of reef so that they and all of the
other marine life, can continue to thrive.

What you need to know…
Getting married away from home may seem daunting at first, but Four Seasons is here to ensure that everything runs smoothly on your special day. Whilst there are some legal requirements and documents which must be presented before you may get married in Seychelles, you can rest assured that the process will be stress-free so that you may concentrate only on the finer details of your day and the love you have for each other.
The criteria for a legal wedding in Seychelles are:• Both spouses must be at least 18 years of age• Although same sex marriage is not legally recognised by Seychelles law, we can conduct a ceremony in celebration of your love to suit your individual requirements• The bride and groom should each choose a witness who is aged 18 years and over. Should you wish for an intimate ceremony, members of our team would be delighted to attend your special day and bear witness to your ceremony.
Please find below the list of documents required by the Seychelles Civil Office:• Proof of identity of both future spouses – colour copies of your passports are fine• Full certified, colour copies of the birth certificate of both future spouses (original and official translation into English or French language if applicable)
If applicable, the following additional documents will also be requested:• Decree absolute, if divorced• Death certificate, if widowed
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the different types of ceremonies we can choose for our wedding?Usually a Civil Officer presides over our ceremonies. However if you wish to enquire about a symbolic or a religious function, please consult with our Wedding Planner as it may be possible to arrange local religious representatives depending on your requirements.
When will we receive our marriage certificate?Your marriage certificate will be processed by the Civil Office during the days following the ceremony and whilst it usually takes only a few days, it can take up to two weeks. Should you be leaving the country before the wedding certificate is ready we can arrange for it to be delivered via courier or postal service at an additional cost.
May we choose our own wedding ceremony venue?In a hidden corner of Mahé, castaway on a secluded powdered cove, our Petite Anse bay is the perfect location for a beach wedding.Should you prefer, your ceremony can be also held at an alternative location such as in the privacy of a Residence Villa or in our preserved remnant of an old Creole house, called Foumba.All of the venues are set in a secluded area of the resort, however kindly note that the access to the beach cannot be completely privatised, according to Seychelles Governmental law.For some venues, an extra charge may apply and locations may vary depending on tide levels and other environmental considerations.
Can we customise our flower arrangements?Certainly! As with every aspect of your day, if you have something particular in mind then we will do our best to arrange it for you, however please bear in mind that we are on a remote island and so not everything may be available.
What can we do if it rains?As a typical tropical country, Seychelles weather is unpredictable and passing rain showers might be experienced during anytime of the year, though most of them are short. We have prepared a wide range of alternative plans in case of persistent rain and these options can be discussed with you on the day, depending on availability and conditions.
What can we wear for our wedding day?You may wish to wear your dream wedding dress or suit for your special day, however please be aware that depending on the venue and the time of day you choose to have your ceremony, there may be natural factors such as the heat or level of the tide to consider when choosing your outfit. If you are planning to have a beach wedding, for example, you might consider not to wear heels or any kind of shoes that might create discomfort when walking in the sand, or a full suit jacket that may get very hot in the sunshine.Most of all, it’s important that you feel comfortable for your special day!
Is there any minimum stay required to get married at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles?A minimum stay of three nights in any Villa category is required in order to get married at our Resort.
Are all of the services provided by Four Seasons Resort Seychelles?Some of the above services are provided by independent suppliers which are not employees of the Resort and who are subject to their own conditions and cancellation charges.
