Skype (5.0.0.123.)new beta (test) version

I am sure that you have heard for “ooVoo”. A lot of teenagers use it, but they don’t know that there is something better! You are asking yourself: “What is it?”, and then, you read other part of the topic and find out that it is a new Skype beta version.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

New beta version

Skype is always skype, so, this version is better by design and structure of the program. One of the new things is that you can make group video conversation with 9 people. Until now, only in a single (2 people) conversation you could make a video call.

"Skype Limited" company still works on this version, so there could be some probelms, but if you have one of older skype versions, you should get a notification about the new version.

As every version, this is also available on 3 kinds of operative systems (Windows, Linux and Mac OS X).

Why choose this new version?

Because sounds in a call are better and messages don't make bugs. Its design is much better than in the the latest versions. If you don't understand how to use this new version, you don't have any reason to be worried because there is a lot of video guides which can help you to work with this version of the program.

FACEBOOK

Do you know that facebook sometimes can be very dangerous?

Facebook was invented by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates in February 2004. Facebook has good and bad sides. You can get a lot of friends from other countries on facebook, but you can also get into a trouble if you are not attentive. You can put your pictures, videos and personal information on facebook. Never, but never put your home address and home number because someone you don’t know you can find you and kidnap you. You must be older than 13 years old to register on facebook but a lot of kids that are younger than 13 just write that they are older in order to create a profile. There are more then 500 million facebook users in the world which means that every 14 person uses it now. As I said before, facebook has good and bad sides so it is your choice to register or not.

SUMMER CAMPS

Hey I know you heard about SUMMER CAMPS.I’ll tell you a few facts why you should go.Summer camps like their name says take place in summer. There are all sorts of summer camps like adventure camps, art camps, music camps, dance camps, sports camps etc.

Summer camp is a place where you have rules, but those rules are diffrent. It’s a place where you enjoy, have fun and use slang. You take part in fun activities, meet new friends and what the heck . . . even do things that you were never allowed to do.You bunk in a tree house or in a tent, and you have to clean them every day. Tree houses are usually a mess.Summer camps need camp fires. Can you imagine it, a camp without a camp fire? Of course you can’t.Camp fire is a place where campers meet and share their experiences with each other. Camp fire meetings take place at night and night is a perfect time for a scary story. A scary story is finished with “. . . have a nice night . . .”

Summer camps are for fun and for meeting new friends,so it’s a good thing going to one.

SUMMER CAMPS

Have you ever been to a summer camp? No? Too bad, you don’t know what you’re missing!Let me show it to you..

Summer camps are places to be! There are many tipes of camps, like: music camps, sport, language, acting camps and many more.Every camp has it’s own activities: swimming, riding a canoe, dancing, singing, acting, painting, playing guitar, drums, piano or something else.

Of course,no matter is it a music camp or a language camp or any other camp, there are still classes for campers.None can run away from them, unless they're kicked out.You don't get grades, but you get special points for good behavior and clean bedrooms.

You don't have to wear uniforms or bye some special books, you just need to bring your alone self!

At some camps,at the end of the day, there's a camp fire. All people from the camp get together around the fire and tell different stories, scary, fanny, romantic, dremy one...

So,go and pack your bags, summer camp are waiting for you!

Summer camps

I like summer camps, Do you like them too? It’s very interesting for me, I met a lot of friends there.I’m still in contact with them. There are a lot of types of summer camps. If you want to learn a foreign language you can go in the summer camp and make it

true . You can learn languages in your country too, or you can travel abroad. Maybe it’s better idea to go to another country because you have to become a part of it and use your English more.

My friend had a fear to go in camps becouse of thought she ’ll be alone. But it isn’t true. I adviced her to go there and

met new people, new experience and learn some more about living there. She was in London on a sport camp. There she practised every day,she had competitions, she met new frends, and what’s the most imoprtant she used her english to communicate. Nowadays she goes to camp every summer and share her experience with me and now with you.

Summer camps are good way to become self confidend to have more faith in yourself and how to live on your own or in teenage group.

Using Internet

Can social networking help us or it will soon destroy us?

We all know that Intrnet has many social networking communities like Facebook, My space, Twiter... We all think that is an ordinary place where we can meet our friends, talk with them, share our fellings on „Wall“. But most of us never thought about how dangerous can it be, and what are the consequences of using them.

11

Page 12: Young journalists

Peronally I like using only Facebook, because most of my friends have Facebook accounts so I can be always in touch with people all around world. We all live happy „Social networking life“. Fortunately we haven`t got any privacy problems, yet. But what about others, usual peoples, wich ordinary life become, their worst nightmare.

Today on Facebook we have lots of abusing, especially children abusing. We know that we usually argue with our friends, but in my opinion the worst place to argue is on social networking sites.

Imagine this situation: You have a verbal fight on “Wall” with your best friend. Then whole your class joins you and argues along with you. This happened to eleven-year-old girl from the USA. And that was not the end. Many older students threaten her, and abused her privacy. She told later to the local newspaper that she got hundreds of chain letters.

Can you imagine what did this poor girl had to suffer to get over this horrible scene. It was also her fault, because she shouldn’t start complaining on Internet. So next time when you start having verbal fights on Facebook, just tell that person that you want to talk with him alone in the school, or somewhere else, not on Facebook.

Hacker can also destroy your privacy. They have many methods how to hack your password, how to send you many chain letters… I suggest you not to click button:”Accept friend request” except you are not two hundred percents sure that that person won’t abuse you while you are having good fun with real friends.

Social networking can turn us to asocial beings very easily. This happens usually to someone who doesn’t have many friends, or somebody who is quiet shy, so that one thinks that Facebok is his: ”safe place”. Want my suggestion? Facebook can never replace talking to friends face to face. If you are talking with your friends live, than you will be more communicative, and you will use more expressions than you use it on chat. For example you won’t have to write happy face when you want to express that you are happy. You can just smile. Isn’t that easy?Facebook has also his good sides. You can talk with friends far away from you for free, and you can use also other Facebook facilities just as: games, applications… But remember this: you are the one who will decide:” Should I use Facebook correctly, or if I don’t take care of my account, someone can do something bad to me!” The choice is yours!
