Intelligent 4x4
The intelligent 4x4 is automatic, safe, fuel efficient and
eco-friendly. It is equipped with the advanced Haldex
clutch,
which is integrated smartly to work actively, and
automatically,
with the ABS, ASR, EDL and ESP. A synergy is maintained
between
the Haldex and the braking systems of the Yeti, providing
distributed torque to individual wheels to tackle all
driving
situations when off-roading. Thus, allowing it to direct 90%
of
the engines power to the rear wheels.
VarioFlex Space Management
VarioFlex affords intelligent interior and luggage space
management. This incredible feature allows the rear outer
seats
to move backwards, forwards and sideways. These backrests
can
be tilted backwards for comfort or folded for luggage space.
One,
two or all three rear seats can be removed depending on the
luggage space requirement.
Off-Road Assistant
Hill Descent Control is a unique feature that helps maintain
constant speed while driving downhill and also allows the
driver to select the ideal wheel track. The Drive-off
Assistant
helps the driver when pulling away from a stationary position
in
difficult situations, e.g. when attempting a hill start or
moving
off with a towed vehicle. It makes for easy star ts on slippery
and
unpaved surfaces. Whereas the Off-Road Traction Control
feature improves grip while driving on loo se track such as
slush,
sand, etc. The Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) reacts
quicker
and more intensively than the normal mode. This, coupled
with
adapted ABS system settings, results in engine power
beingtransmitted to the wheel(s) for maximum grip, reduced
slippage
and fuel wastage; and improved braking.
Fog lamps with Corner Function
The fog lights with corner function automatically illuminate
the
area where the car is about to turn into. Thus providing
better
illumination for curves with a small radius, adjacent
pedestrian
crossings and parking spaces.
