- maximum throughput. Its high-performance cut­

ting lobles with a cutting wìdth of 6.30 to 9 m

are designed for the tremendous throughput

capocity of the machine.

Only the best for practical applications

The TOPUNER 8XL is equipped with a standard

cutting toble control unit, the DEUTZ-FAHR Auto-

Control - perfect height and side alignment for

foHowing the contours of the ground. The multi-

coupling is also a standard feature. Its advon-

toge is fast cutting table ottachment and

removal.

Ali DEUTZ-FAHR high-performance cutting tables

feature a large auger diameter, spirally-arranged

retroctoble fingers, cdditionol retractable fingers

throughout the entire width of the auger and fol-

ding stalk dividers. The reei speed is automatl-

cally adopted to the travelling speed. An

outomatic cutting angle odjustment feature is

avaìiable upon request.

Oil seedrope and legume crops are no probiem

fon the new DEUTZ-FAHR Icrge combine harve-

ster, with perfect and powerful but crop-conser-

ving operation.

Maize; Crop-savìng harvesting

The ó to 8 row corn pickers with an integrated

Straw chopper have low power requìremenfs and

ore of especìally fiat design. The corn ìs harve-

sted intensively but gently. A grain maize and

CCM assembly are aÌso ovailable.

Oil seedrape: Loss-free harvesfìng

The rape-seed attachment with firmly integrated

drive components with a 65-cm table extenslon

and hydraulically driven right-hand side biade

effectively prevents seed loss. An electrically

connected left-hand side biade Ìs also ovailable

Upon request.

Sunflo^ers: Only harvesting the best

For reaping sunflowers the cutting tables are

equipped with special ottachments of up to 7,20

m. Only the heads are harvested, resulting in

high speeds, smooth threshing and optimum clea-

ning.

Soyabeans: High capacìty

The DEUTZ-FAHR flex-cutting table for soyabeans

follows the contours of uneven ground. Losses are

minimised, and damoge to the cutting table pre-

ve nted.

Road transport - no probiem

With outside dimenslons of less thon 3.30 m

(with 650 / 75R32 tyres) or below 3.50 m

(with 800 / 65R32 tyres), road transport Is no

probiem for the TOPLINER8XL.

Varying legai requlrements con be met with no

trouble.

The oil seedrape attachmenl is quickly mounted to the cut­ting table. With its integrated indepen-denl hydraulic system éìs ensures smooth operation of the side knife.

Special attachmenis are ovailable far har­vesting sunflowers.

The maize header con be folded back, (or road transport. Even

with 800/65R32 tyres the over ali width of the rfìochine ìs less ihan 3.50 m.

With its compact transport width road transport is no probiem for the TOPUNER 8 XL.

by the driver.

The threshing and Straw beater run asynchronously.

The advantage of this is improved strav/ tronsport

and dispersal, resulting in more efficient and gentle

grain seporotion.

Wilh the standard step<Jown gear it is possible to

vary the speed freely within a range of 210-1,250

rpm. The turbo-separator ensures high throughput

capacities under difTicult harvesting conditions, The

speed and height of the turbo-separator are also

outomotically adjusted by the AMV or at the touch

of a button - within a freely selectable range.

the spreading drum

The turbo-separator and walker separating units are

iinked by the innovative spreading drum. The drum

is one walker width wider thon the turbo-separator

on both sides, equipped with a special separating

and distribution concave and distributes the Straw

onto the following eight doublé walkers. Both the

speed and concave distonce of the spreading drum

ore also automatically electrically controlied by the

AMV or at the touch of a button.

MORE THAN JUST AN IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE

With the TOPLINER 8 XL DEUTZ-FAHR has ope-

ned a new chapter in separating and cleanìng

technìques. The first eight-walker machine in the

worId separotes the graìn from the chaf f -and not

only figuratively:

Ifs eight dìvided wolkers, Ifs expansìve walker sur-

face of 7.48 m^ and the unique overall separa­

ting surface of 10.42 m^ are truty unique. For this

excellent innovative concepì the TOPLINER 8 XL

was awarded the DLG rating "remarkable deve-

lopment" at the Agritechnica '97.

No trouble w i th high-moisture Straw

The eight separate trays are divided into two wal­

ker sections. An additlonal chute is located bet-

ween the front and rear sections. The two sections

run with opposed action with 1 80° stroke offset.

The opposed action, the addltional chute and the

large walker width of 2.03 m ensure that the

Straw is effectively dispersed. This means opti­

mum residuai groin separation, gentle handlìng

ofthe Straw, top throughput performance - even

with high-moìsture strow.

A clean matter

With its huge sieve surface of 7.85 m'the TOPLI­

NER 8 XL tokes pride of place in combine techno-

logy. The 2.03 m width of the sieve box is

gigontic. The top and bottom sieves work wfth

opposed action and are therefore self<leaning.

Sieve adjustment is performed automatically with

the AMV. The powerful cross-flow blower ensures

optimum, regular air distribution over the entire

sleve surface, This and the ventìlated doublé

chute ensure top throughput and optimum c\ea-

ning results.

Once octivated at the simple touch of a button,

the machine adapts to the slope of the ground.

Loteral slopes of up to 20 % and uphill and down-

hill slopes of up to ó % are compensated with

ease. This ensures Constant threshing and separa-

ting performance, less workioad for the operator

and a high degree of drìving and parking safety

- especiolly on lateral slopes.

Top performance ^ ì t h o u t losses in ali

situations

The BALANCE system is controlied fully outomoti-

cally. The LEDs on the controller provide Constant

informotion on the slope and the control status of

the combine. The entire combine is always hori-

zontal due to the "electronic spirit level" - fully

outomotically.

Everythìng under control

The TOPLINER 8 XL features a standard actively

controlied cutting tabie. Height cdjustment and

AutoControl adjust the lateral and height control

of the cutting table precisely. Three sensors com­

pensate for any devlotion immediately. The cut­

ting height and contact pressure con be selected

in comfort from the cobin. The automotic cutting

angle adjuster (avoilable upon request) ensures

optimum cdjustment in the direction of travel. The

cutting table then follows the contours on uphill

and downhill slopes for maximum efficiency.

This is not true of the TOPLINER 8 XL - its grain

tank accommodates a remarkable 10^500 litres.

For road transport the grain tank attachment con

be hydraulically retracted.

The grain tank is emptied in no t ime at

ali The grain tank con be emptied with a 6 m pipe

in any position. The swìvel range of 1 10° and a

clearance height of 4.60 m ensures trouble-fee

and fast Ioading of truck trailers and larga loa-

ding trucks.

A multi-purpose stra>v chopper

The TOPLINER 8 XL is equìpped with an integra-

ted Straw chopper with an electrìcal chaff width

adjustment and integrated chaff distributor.

Switchover from windrowing to chopping is per-

formed electricolly from the cabin with the TCS.

With both chopping and windrowing the chaff is

taken in by an auxiliary blower. The chaff is then

widely spread with the chopped straw. The straw

chopper also runs during windrowing, ensuring

optimum and regular spreadìng of the chaff. The

chaff distribution blower takes in both dust and

debris from the rotory precleaner, ensuring cleon

air for cooling and combustion.

flagship is fitted with a ICS as a standard, the

innovative information and monitoring system of

DEUTZ-FAHR.

A comprehensive p rogramme

TCS is a very clear display screen with a proces­

sor and job calculator. The system Ìncorporates

an extended vehtcle and function monitor with a

closed circuit prìncìple and a service menu with

setting tobles. Throughput and moisture measure-

ment Is an important feature of the programme

Qs well OS a customer database and an automa-

tic blower speed control on slopes.

The TCS includes control functions for 16 dìFfe-

rent crops and an automotic machine pre-adjust-

ment feature (AMV). The programme settìngs are

already set at the works. Three different options

ore avoiloble for each crop for easy, normoi and

difficult threshing condìtions. Each of these 48

settìngs con, of course, be modified and pro-

grammed individually.

The automotic machine pre-adjustment feature

(AMV) performs the following settings:

- Thresher drum speed (including straw beater,

turbo-separator and spreading drum).

- Concave distance [front and rear separately)

- Blower speed

- Sieve opening

TCS is naturally GPS/DGPS-compatible. TCS-

SAT determines the throughput capacity on-line -

the instolled GPS/DGPS equipment categorises
