How to start?

1.Start quite formally:• Today I´m going to talk about …• In this presentation, I´d like to tell you a little bit about...

„In this presentation I´d like to tell you about the current position of Toyota in Europe. Then I'll move on to some of the achievements we've made in Asia. After that I'll consider the opportunities we see for further expansion in Africa. Lastly, I'll quickly recap before concluding with some recommendations."

2. Or you can catch your audience´s attention by starting with a question or a challenging statement. You can use pictures.

1. Make it short

• Use short words and sentences • Your language must be simple and clear• In general, talk about concrete facts rather than

abstract ideas. • Use active verbs instead of passive verbs. Active

verbs are much easier to understand.

What to say?

• After introducing each point, add information briefly in 2 - 4 sentences. Use markers like the ones below to make long well-balanced sentences.
