Sorority Recruitment —There will be three rounds and a preference party (round three and preference are by invitation only). At these events you will meet members of each chapter.

How Recruitment Works. What you experience during the first few recruitment events, called Work Tours and Fraternity Showcase, will probably give you a feeling for where you may belong. Then for the next several weeks visit any organizations you want—not only during recruitment events, but also for meals—to figure out what chapter really suits you best. If the members of any chapter you visit feel that you are a good fit and would be an asset to the organization, they will extend you a bid. Quali-fications for bids are different from chapter to chapter. When you sign the bid of your choice on IFC’s Bid Night, you will become a new member of that fraternity.

Sorority Recruitment and ChaptersBe part of something that has been a tradition at WPI since 1977: strong, spirited women becoming leaders. Join us during our events to see and experience sisterhood in action. Sorority life is about building life skills, finding support and friendship, and having fun! Registration begins at the start of B-Term in the Campus Center and in the Wedge. You don’t have to join even if you participate in recruitment.

Sororities are composed of women with strong bonds of friendship and common ideals, goals, and standards. At WPI, these “women’s fraternities” uphold and believe in the ideals of scholarship, sisterhood, and service giving you a great opportunity to meet other women on campus and grow into the woman you can be.

Recruitment counselors (RCs) are selected from each sorority to guide interested women through the recruitment process. To help you decide if sorority life is for you, these women are disassociated from their chapters to represent an unbiased posi-tion. Feel free to contact VP of Recruitment Emily Fournier at [email protected], or your RCs if you have any questions.
