    waterfront spot to come and do as much or as little as

    you like.

    Whether at the coast or along the River Adur, theres a whole range

    of thrilling watersports and activities. Sailing, kite surfing, diving

    and fishing theyre all here for you to experience and enjoy.

    A stroll along the award winning pier at Worthing is a pleasant way

    to take in a panoramic view of the Sussex coast and plan everything

    you want to see and do.

    Why not explore the seafront on a bicycle by following the cycle

    path along the promenade to nearby Shoreham-by-Sea? Visit the

    From Worthing town centre to the towns and

    villages throughout the area, youre never short

    of an entertaining way to spend your visit.

    In Worthing the Pavilion and Connaught theatres and Assembly

    Hall play host to a varied programme of theatre, live music,

    film and comedy, many acts coming straight from the West End.

    Theres something for everyone and you can find out whats on

    Throughout the region there are also a wide range of exciting

    activities, events, festivals and arts to enjoy. Experience exhilarating

    events such as the Worthing International Birdman Competition

    (13 and 14 August), the Worthing Kitesurfing Event (9 and 10 April -

    TBC) and Worthings Ice Rink (5 February to 6 March).

    From food and drink festivals, to concerts, to a childrens parade

    no matter what you and your family like to do theres always

    something happening to keep you all happy.

    And with Worthing ideally placed for you to explore all the exciting

    The stunning South Downs National Park is one of the UKs most

    beautiful areas of natural countryside. Take a walk and explore;

    take your time to enjoy the views and take a picnic for a relaxing

    afternoon in a breathtaking place.

    ice rink or enjoying the lambing at Coombes Farm

    near Lancing youll find plenty to keep the whole

    Go on an invigorating cycle ride along the shore,

    take time out at the Ropetackle Arts Centre, explore

    some of the beautiful gardens our sunny region is

    famous for. A trip to Worthing and the surrounding

    area is a great way to help you simply unwind.

    For fascinating stories

    Lovers of history, heritage and culture will discover

    a variety of surprising and interesting museums,

    exhibitions and displays. Not only is there the towns

    Museum and Art Gallery and many local gems

    throughout the region, were also home to a number

    of impressive historic buildings.

    The High Salvington Windmill makes for a great

    summer visit, while the Gothic-style Lancing College

    Chapel gives an impressive view overlooking the

    Adur valley. If you enjoy exploring historical and

    interesting churches you might want to visit the

    English Martyrs Church to see its splendid ceiling

    inspired by the Sistine Chapel.
