Forming

Forming is where the group or team members become acquainted with each other.

At this stage the team members can be quiet & willing to agree with suggestions or ideas by other team members.

Storming

At this stage the novelty of being part of a team wears off & conflict occurs. The team discuss amicably or aggressively their ideas & thoughts for the task solution.

The group will either agree on a final solution for the assigned task or individuals take a passive role.

Norming

Individual strengths highlighted & key roles assigned. The teams members aware of their personal roles, deadlines & quality required.

Working relationships developing, sharing information & resolving conflict with other team members. Working as a team seams more natural.

At this stage the team is functioning at a high level. The team have resolved conflict & now focusing on completing the task.

The team is highly motivated & working efficiently on a day-to-day basis performing to agreed processes/plan. Problems are resolved quickly so the task can progress

without interrupting with deadlines.
