CONSTRUCTION

MAIN FRAME is of robust steel

pJ<lIC construction. It forms a rigid

support for the grinding wheel

spindles, and completely encloses

the drive. Access is through a side

panel. The machine embodies slow

and fast funning spindles. BOlh

spindles run on ball bearings.

DRIVE is from motor hinge

mounted inside the main frame.

Drive to the fast spindle is by belt

direct from the motor. Slow spindle

is driven by belt through intermediate reduction

gear. Gear is totally enclosed and runs in oiL

MOTOR is totally enclosed f<ln l:oolcd and

controlled from ntlsh mounted, built in push

button stations, one on each side of the

machine. Automatic contaclor gear embodies

full protective features including no volt and

overload releases.

GUARDS. All wheels are provided with de­

tachable guards.

TOOL REST for the slow spindle is l\djustable

by screw motion to prescnt the cutting tool

at the correct lingle and to ltpply the feed

to the wheel. It carries a sliding clamp for

the tool which is movcd backwards and forwards

across the face of the wheel. The tool rest

covers the full length of the spindle and permits

the clamp being used over eilher wheel. Tool

rest for the fast spindle is fully adjustable

and designed for flat or angular grinding. A

res! is also provided for the grinding cone.
