Please read through all of the instructions

before you begin your project.

Fabric Requirements: A. Pattern #24654-Bei1…...…..………..1 panel B. Pattern #24656-Bei1………………..3/4 yard C. Pattern #24657-Bei1.…………….....1/2 yard D. Pattern #24658-Bei1………………..5/8 yard E. Pattern #24659-Mul1………………..1/2 yard F. Pattern #24660-LtBei1………………1/2 yard G. Pattern #24613-Bei1………………..3/4 yard H. Pattern #24613-Bro1……………1 3/8 yards Batting………………....……....1 piece 45” x 52”

Cutting Instructions: Please read all instructions carefully before beginning. All seams are a scant ¼” which is included in all measurements unless otherwise stated. Cut pieces in order listed. Label all pieces. Refer to all illustrations and the quilt image for proper cutting and assembly. * wof = width of fabric, lof =length of fabric. It is strongly recommended to heavily starch all pieces especially anywhere making a bias cuts. Fabric A - Woodland Panel (24654-Bei1)

1. Fussy cut the three sections of the panel to measure 12 1/2" x 19 3/4”, leaving an equal amount of the brown border on all four sides.

Fabric Woodland shelf (24656-Bei1) 1. Fussy cut one strip 3 3/8" x wof. Begin

cutting 1/4" above the heads of the strip with the branch owls and ending 3 3/8" beneath. Label: “B”.

2. Fussy cut one strip 4” x wof. Begin

cutting 1/4" below the animals’ feet and ending 4” above. Label: “C”.

Fabric C – Set Animals (24657-Bei1) 1. Cut two strips 5” x wof. Label “F”.

Fabric D – Animal Stripe (24658-Bei1) 1. Fussy four two strips 1 3/4” x lof.

Label: “D”.

2. Fussy cut 2 strips 2 1/2” x 19 3/4".

Begin cutting 1/4" to the left of the animal stripe and ending1/4" to the right of one animal stripe. Label: “A”.

Fabric E – Owls & Words (24659-Mul1)

1. Fussy cut ten squares on point 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". Label “G”.

Fabric F – Floral (24660-LtBei1) 1. Cut eight rectangles 5 1/8” wide x 5”.

Label: “I“. Fabric G – Set small Floral (24613-Bei1)

1. Cut 16 squares 4” x 4”, then sub-cut each square in half on the diagonal for a total of 32 triangles. Label “H”.

Fabric H – Set small Floral (24613-Bro1) 1. Cut two strips 1 1/4" x wof. Label “E”. 2. Cut five strips 3” x wof and set aside for

binding. Piecing Instructions: *Please refer to the quilt image and the layout diagram on the last page to accurately arrange the pieces for the quilt top. Because of the directionality of the fabric, it is necessary to carefully check the orientation of the pieces before sewing in place. Block Band:

1. Sew an “H” to opposite sides of “G”.

2. Sew an “H” to the remaining two sides of “G”.

3. Square-up block to measure 5” x 5”. 4. Repeat for a total of ten blocks. 5. Sew five of these blocks, alternating

with four “I” rectangles, to form one strip. Label: “Block Band”. Repeat for a total of two bands.

Assembly:

1. Sew the three sections of the panel together, side-by- side, as seen in the quilt image.

2. Sew one “A” piece to each side edge of the center panel block.

3. Measure the width of the quilt through the center and cut the “B”, “C”, “D”,“E”, and “F” to this measurement.

4. Sew “B” to the top edge of the quilt top. 5. Sew the “C” strip to the bottom of the

quilt top. 6. Sew one of the “D” pieces to the top

and one to the bottom edge of the quilt. 7. Sew one “Block Band” to the top and

one to the bottom edge of the quilt. 8. Sew one of “E” pieces to the top and

one to the bottom edge of the quilt. 9. Sew one of “F” pieces to the top and

one to the bottom edge of the quilt.

Finishing: 1. Layer the quilt top with the batting and

backing and quilt as desired. 2. Trim the backing and batting 1/4" past

the quilt top. 3. Sew the binding strips end to end with a

diagonal seam to form one long strip. 4. Press the strip in half, lengthwise,

wrong sides together.

5. Sew to the quilt front, matching the raw edges of the binding with the edge of the batting and sew, mitering the corners.

6. Turn the binding to the back and stitch in place.
