Commissioner – Scope of Role

•Accountable to Area Commissioner•Ensures leaders have service and support to run safe quality program•Principal point of contact for Group•May delegate chair and other duties to Group Administrator and other members but is still ultimately responsible for Group activities

•Ensure communications within Group•Ensure communications with Area Commissioner and Council Team•Build positive relationships with Group, Partner and Area Commissioner team•Encourage leader participation in Area roundtables, continual volunteer development, and events management

•Administer non-program activities and business activities of the Group•May assume Chair of meeting as directed by Group Commissioner•Ensure compliance with procedures•Maintain positive relationships

•Accountable to Group Commissioner•Meet with leaders and Group to fill out Group worksheet•Organize registration program for returning and new members•Be available to answer registration inquiries•Using MyScouts (AMS):–ensure profiles are up-to-date– confirm registrations on renewal or prospective members
