Experience the winter wonder land in FinlandThis photography tour is for winter Finland time of the blue moment, so there are good chances for beautiful winter landscape photos! Capture the beautifully snow covered Taiga forests in Kuusamo. We also have a good chance for witnessing the Aurora Borealis, a magical and colourful display on the night sky which so many people can only dream of! During the trip, we photograph two days Golden Eagles from the well heated comfortable professional hides. While we are waiting for the Golden Eagles, we can photograph the other species e.g. Siberian Jay, Siberian Tit, Willow Tit, Eurasian Jay, Common Magpie, Great Spotted Woodpecker and Red Squirrel.

ITINERARY
Day 1 Arrive to KuusamoArrival at Kuusamo airport, lunch and accommodation at Oivanki lomakartano´s log villas. After lunch, we make the first visit to the snowy Taiga forest. At the dinner we will have a short briefing and slide show about this Winter landcscapes photography tour.
Day 2 After the breakfast we are ready for Golden Eagle photography. We spend the whole day in heated pro-hides, where the main target species is the Golden Eagle. While waiting for the eagles, there are many other species in front of the hides e.g. Siberian Jay, Siberian Tit. During the day picnic lunch in the hide. Before dinner, well deserved rest. Later in the evening changes for the Aurora Borealis.
Day 3 In the morning White-throated Dipper photography and winter landscape photography at the Käylä cascade. Narrow cascade is open over the winter, where the dippers chase each other in close distance. Well before sunset departure to Kuntivaara fell, which is a wonderful winter landscape photography destination. The fell is known as the forest where all the trees are loaded by crown snow, where we walk with snowshoes along a ready-made path. Picnic lunch in the hut where we can warm ourselves at the open re. If we are lucky we’ll see Aurora Borealis over the snowy forest.

Day 4 After the breakfast departure to the Golden Eagle hides for the second session. e day’s program otherwise same than the rst Golden Eagle photography day, but if the weather permits a er the sunset we photograph e Blue Moment just out side the hides.
Day 5 After early breakfast drive to one of the most famous winter landscape site in Finland, Riisitunturi National Park. This winter landscape photography place is well known around the World. During the day, we walk 3-4 km in hilly terrain with snowshoes along the ready made path in the snowy forest and charmed by snowy characters that wintry nature has created. At noon drive to Siberian Jay feeding station, where we enjoy picnic lunch while we are waiting for Siberian Jays. After the sun set we return to the cabin and have rest before dinner.
Day 6 Departure from KuusamoThe last day we spend at the free-flowing Kitkajoki river, where is picturesque wintery scenery with frosted trees and old tradiotional repaired mill building. The place is full of details and also White-throated Dipper is a daily visitor in ice-cold water, where it is looking for food. After midday we have lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon flight back home from Kuusamo airport.

Price includes: Finnature guiding throughout the journey. Two days in professional Eagle hide. All meals and all land transportation from Kuusamo airport. For extra price transportation from Oulu (bigger airport) if needed. All overnights in gorgeous log villa.
