Madam Vice President The goal of each member of a Fraternal Order of Ea-

gles Aerie home is to support what we voluntarily

joined. It’s up to us. No one will be coming to help

pay the bills and keep the lights on.

Several Aerie and Auxiliary member volunteers col-

lect the cover charges on dance nights to help offset

the cost of hiring the dance bands. This might seem

like a nominal fee but it makes a big difference in the

quality of entertainment we get to enjoy.

There are volunteers who help out as bartenders and

wait staff, who always lend a hand with a

smile. These people who are giving or their time are

appreciated far beyond expressing.

The rest of us can also help by coming to our Aerie

home and buy the dinners and beverages at the bar

and pay the cover charge for the dances. Participation

is also important.

Worthy President We hosted the Northwest District Meeting on Sep-

tember 21 to September 23. It was a great success and I

received numerous compliments on the food and decora-

tions. We had a large number of volunteers that put in

quite a few hours to make it successful. I am very grate-

ful to the key volunteers that spend hours decorating,

preparing food, and registering fellow Eagles as they

travelled from Aeries all over the state. Without volun-

teers we would not be able to host events like this. The

Queen of Hearts was once again won by Ron Keuscher.

We have started game 5 now and we are as always hav-

ing our drawing on Sunday evening at 7:30 Tickets are

available any time from the bartender or a member of

the Queen of Hearts Committee. We have some fun

events for October to include wine tasting and a Hallow-
