    WHY OBTAIN A NY STATE LICENSE IN

    TESOL?

    • Apply online with a non-refundable $50 fee

    • Evidence of a current New York State teaching license

    • Two recommendations from employers or immediate supervisor

    • Evidence of current employment in a New York School (NYCDOE Preferred)

    • Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended,

    indicating award of Bachelor’s degree (or its

    equivalent) and minimum GPA of 3.0

    • Personal statement

    • Immunization record

    Touro GSE’s Clinically Rich-Intensive

    Teacher Institute leads to a certification

    in Teaching English to Speakers

    of Other Languages (TESOL). Our

    program is in partnership with New

    York State’s Education Department

    and New York City Department of

    Education and is grant funded.
