Tilesafe® Tanking system

Tilesafe® is a heavy duty Cold applied self-adhesive

membrane, consisting of a 2mm thick rubber

modified bitumen waterproof layer, incorporating

a woven glass fibre mesh on one face. The Tilesafe®

membrane system has been developed to provide

a waterproof layer beneath ceramic, porcelain,

granite, marble and slate tiles.

Tilesafe membrane is equally suitable Timber and

concrete floors.

Useful Wet Floor information Q “ You sell the deck in various sizes what size should I order”?

A Always order the longest deck that your Bath-Shower Room can accommodate, the longer the deck the bigger the fall area (A), water that goes beyond area (A) into area (B) may create puddles, it is better to create a larger area (A) and reduce the area (B). See diagram (1).

Q “What glass screen should I order”?

A Keep as much water in area (A), glass length ideally should be the same or longer than area (A), the longer the better, single panel screens like GO1 - SUN1 (diagram 1) are desirable as they are minimal in design and water can easily travel to area (B), the GO2 model for instance with the extra glass defl ector helps keep the water in area (A).

Q “What shower should I install”?

A Any type of shower can be used, always use a shower that you can direct the fl ow from the shower head directly on the linear drain, the linear drain can cope with high volumes of water, body jets should be carefully positioned. Always check the fl ow rate of your shower.

Q “Why is a 2 way fall deck better than a typical cheaper 4 way fall deck”?

A Very high fl ow rates which is important, you need the water to drain away quickly, what is also very important is the fi nish of the tiles, when using a 2 way deck from Novellini (diagram 3) you get a professional clean fi nish unlike 4 way fall decks where diagonal cuts are necessary on standard and large tiles which requires a very experienced tiler alternatively you are forced to use mosaic tiles which add extra design details and additional grout lines which can be unsightly, see diagram (2).

Q “Why is your linear drain better than the traditional single drains”?

A You don’t always know where the timber joists are running until you remove the fl oorboards, with our system you can avoid the joists by cutting down the deck and positioning your trap(s) anywhere in the linear drain thus making our system fl exible and easy to install in all situations. Up to 60 litres per min. fl ow rate as you have the ability to install up to 3 traps.

Q “Do you need to use a special type of tile adhesive with Tilesafe”?

A Yes, always use a Rapid set fl exible waterproof tile adhesive.

Guarantee Terms and ConditionsNovellini Linear Wet Floor Solution ProductsNovellini (UK) Limited, a company registered in Italy with number 2784487 whose registered offi ce is at Novellini House, Orchard Trading Estate, Tod-dington, Cheltenham, Gloucester, GL54 5EB, (“Novellini”) guarantees its shower enclosures and bath screens against faulty materials or manufac-ture provided all the conditions set out below are satisfi ed.

This guarantee provides benefi ts which are additional to and do not aff ect your statutory rights as a consumer. This guarantee is only valid and enforceable for products purchased and used exclusively in the U.K. and Republic of Ireland.

Should a claim arise, Novellini will investigate the issue to ensure that the conditions of this guarantee are satisfi ed.

What is covered by the Novellini Guarantee?

The guarantee covers faulty materials or manufacture and is restricted to repairing or replacing (at Novellini sole discretion) the parts found to be defective.

If a replacement is off ered but identical goods are no longer available, No-vellini will replace it with our closest equivalent product.

The liability of Novellini is limited to the products supplied by Novellini and does not extend to any consequential loss or damage arising from the defective product.

How long is the Novellini Guarantee for?

Tilesafe® and Screedsafe® are guaranteed for the life time of the tiles.

What is not covered by the Novellini Guarantee

Ex displays or products reinstalled from their original position are not co-vered under this guarantee with no exception.

The purchaser is responsible for checking that the product is complete and in good condition prior to installation. No claim will be accepted if a product is installed with a fault that would have been clearly visible before installation.

The guarantee does not include replacement of the entire product.

The guarantee does not cover costs of disassembly and reinstallation.

Novellini declines any responsibility for any defects caused as a result of the product having been repaired, altered, serviced or modifi ed by parties other than Novellini or its authorised agents.

Novellini declines any responsibility for damage, whether direct or indi-rect, to persons, animals or objects arising from failure to observe the in-structions and technical information contained in the installation manual that accompanies the product.

Novellini declines any responsibility for diffi cult or impossible installation, and the malfunctioning of Tilesafe due to walls or fl oors which are out of true alignment.

Except in the case of death or personal injury by the negligence of Novel-lini service engineers, neither Novellini, nor any of its directors, employees, or representatives will be liable to you or to any other party for damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the installation or removal of any of its products.

Terms and Conditions of the Novellini Guarantee

The guarantee becomes eff ective at the date of purchase.

You must provide proof of purchase at the time of claim. Please note that without this proof any work carried out by Novellini will be chargeable.

The guarantee applies to the original purchaser only and is non transferable.

The product must have been fi tted / installed in accordance with Novelli-

ni fi tting instructions (available at www.novellini.com), local bylaws and general good plumbing practice.

The positions of showers in the brochure are for illustrative purposes only.

Tilesafe® must never come in contact with any silicon based products

Tilesafe®, Always test the tanking installation for leaks before tiling as per the fi tting instructions, this is your only opportunity to test for leaks

The product must have been maintained and cared for in accordance with the Novellini instructions (including regular and appropriate cleaning) and is subject to products being fi tted and used in normal domestic house-hold circumstances only, for commercial use a written letter from Novellini UK must be obtained to validate your guarantee.

Any parts which are replaced will become the property of Novellini.

If in Novellini opinion the product has been modifi ed, misused, neglected, willfully or accidentally damaged, or the defect is due to normal wear and tear we will accept no responsibility for failure.

Novellini must be given the opportunity to inspect the product in the in-stalled condition. If the product is removed before inspection by a Novel-lini engineer or personnel the guarantee will be null and void unless we have given written permission to remove the product.

Novellini reserves the right to charge for engineers call out costs, time and replacement parts if a claim is not due to faulty materials or manufacture.

Should Novellini carry out work as a result of a claim but subsequently it is revealed that the product has been abused or improperly installed, we reserve the right to charge for any expenses incurred.

What happens if I live or move abroad?

The guarantee is applicable to the country in which the product was purcha-sed. If your product is taken abroad the guarantee will be invalidated. However, Novellini will always Endeavour to assist you in your new country of residence.

How do I make a claim?

Cleaning and care.

It is important to clean your Novellini wet fl oor after every use. Do not allow lime scale to build up in hard water areas. Clean regularly using so-apy water. Do not use abrasive products on any surfaces. Do not use acid based descaler or products containing sodium hydroxide, sodium hypo-chlorite, or products which are unsuitable for cleaning stainless steel surfa-ces, including abrasive cleaners or cleaners containing bleach or solvents. Do not use scouring pads or sharp instruments when cleaning. It is your responsibility to check with the manufacturer of all cleaners and solvents used whether the contents are suitable for use on the product.

Spare parts can be purchased from Novellini Technical Service Depart-ment.

A chargeable maintenance and installation service is also available on request.
