Ethnic composition has shifted White population decreased; increases in all other ethnic groups – largest
increase was the Hispanic group ,10.4% in 2000 to 17.3% in 2010
Housing sales (between 2003 and 2010) peaked in 2004 when 226 units sold 87 units were sold in 2010
Public school children per household in 2010 0.42, lower than Nassau County (0.45)
% of households with children under 18 decreased from 41.1% in 2000 to 40.3% in 2010
Total occupied housing units decreased between 1990 and 2010 5,530 in 1990 and 5,353 in 2010

Between 2001 – 2011:
kindergarten cohorts ranged: 124 (2008) - 167 (2001)
smaller kindergarten replaced larger exiting 12th grade students in all years

Between 2012 – 2021: kindergarten expected range: 124 (2021) - 133 (2013)
