West Mountain, a center of ski racing in New York/Vermont. West Mountain has grown into a major center for race training and competition, hosting a variety of races from FIS, college, Masters and junior events. Colleg-es and ski academies from NY and VT travel to West Mtn for the terrific terrain, hard snow, short training lifts and all-round superb training conditions.

One of the best training venues in the East … SL, GS, SG! West Mtn makes a huge amount of snow in Dec and Jan (5-8 feet on the race trail). By Feb the manmade snow, plus several feet of natural snow, create an ideal snow surface for training, and it lasts through April, well beyond when the lifts close.

Homologated SL, GS & SG trails with a wide variety of terrain. The race trail is FIS-homologated for GS and SL, and USSA-homologated for SG with about 1000 vertical feet. The variety of terrain from steeps to rolling pitch make it a popular site for elite racers, colleges and ski academies to visit for high quality training.
