What a beautiful part of the world we live in. Our gardens are looking fabulous as a result of our hard working community at the garden bee on Sunday 25 th June. Many thanks to Simone Novello and Beck Keep for making it all happen. And thanks to Tunks Landscaping and Thomas Landscaping and Building Supplies for their generous donations of soil, compost and straw. Thanks again to Simone for acquiring these donations for the school. The weather held out last Friday for our Athletics Carnival and we warmed up by running, shot putting and jumping. Thanks to Pete Evans who organised the day and thanks to all those who volunteered and came along. The Katoomba High School helpers were wonderful and were grateful they came along for the day. Our Mid-Year Reports are out, and the new covers complement and showcase the hard work and effort these reports require, from your children and their teachers. Please let us know what you think of the covers. Were getting a new school app Skool Bag, early next term. You will receive more information on this early next term, so please keep an eye out! Marley 34Mu, Txai 3/4E, Elliot 5/6F and Riley 5/6Z went along to the Multicultural Public Speaking District finals at Blaxland East last Tuesday. Congratulations to Txai who won the Stage 2 competition and to Marley and Elliott, runners up in Stage 2 and 3 respectively. What a great effort! Our 2019 Kindy enrolments commence next term and there will be flyers and information sent to interested families. Spread the word and let your neighbours know enrolments are open for 2019! Gwen Blackwell will be having a farewell dinner with colleagues this Friday night in honour of her 40 years of hard work and dedication at Wentworth Falls. An amazing music education, Gwen still comes along once a week for school singing and is seeing ex studentschildren come along to school. I dont know if Gwen will be able to leave our school. Shes here for the rest of the year, one day a week and who knows what will happen next year? Sue Bond also received a commendation from the Department of Education for 40 years of service certificate. Our director Jenny Thompson came to the school to present Sues certificate. Another marvellous effort and sign of community here at Wenty. Term 3 starts for students on Tuesday 24 th July. Enjoy your holidays, relax and get ready for another 10 weeks of non stop action next term! Our gardens are looking so much better after our working bee. Thanks Simone for your enthusiasm and energy in organising the day. Lots of hard work and Simone’s newspaper mulching should keep the weeds down - at least for a little while.

Next P & C meeting will on Tuesday August 21stth at 1pm in the

school hall. All welcome.

Clothing Pool open

Fridays

The Clothing Pool has changed from being open on Wednesdays to Fridays. It is now open: Friday 8:20-8:45am inside foyer of 1C.
