What is the ultimate goal?Any Scout's ultimate goal is to attain the rank of Eagle Scout. It is Scouting’s most prestigious award, because it signifies not only the strength of the individual, but the character as a whole. It means they are hard-working and obey the Scout Law and Scout Oath.

Camp Oljato

• Camp Oljato is in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, about a 4-5 hour drive from the temple. It offers many merit badges, and boasts a comprehensive merit badge program, with both elective and Eagle-required merit badges and develops key Scouting skills.

High Adventure Camps

• The 3 are SeaBase, Philmont, and Northern Tier. The bases are all out of state, though. SeaBase is in Florida, Philmont is in New Mexico, and Northern Tier is in Minnesota. These camps test the scout’s athleticism, scout spirit, and patience when arriving at the airport. However, you cannot jump into them as soon as you start Scouting. You need to be 14+ to go on these camps.

Other Activities

• The Scouts participate in both council-sponsored and troop-sponsored events, such as Video Game Night, Cache Creek, 9/11 memorial services, and many others.
