With the Project “Cittadella Politecnica” the Politecnico area will be increased by 170.000 square metres (50.000 by the year 2006), in an area adjacent the Corso Duca degli Abruzzi building complex

The agreement foresees

General Motors Powertrain is going to establish the main research centre for the development of Diesel engines and electronic control systems

a series of collaborations and exchanges for research and education, PhDs included, masters, degree dissertations, apprenticeship and organization of joint seminars

20,000 sm at its disposal equipped with laboratories

16 test cells and direction offices

Around 300 highly qualified professionals are going to work in the area.
