Scouting 2010New Program• Under Scouting 2010, all activities of both the

Den and the Pack are outlined in our new handbook.

• This assists the leaders in providing a consistent, fun program

• The meetings are focused on giving your child the opportunity to participate in the maximum amount of activities and earn the badges necessary for advancement.

Pack 571

Parent Participation• Parents are the major source of Scout

leadership• Scouting is volunteer led• Full support and cooperation of every parent

is essential• Parents can help reduce the load for

everyone by serving as den leaders or committee members

• Parents should participate in and encourage their boys in their advancement

Pack 571

Tiger Scouts and Leadership• The Tigers need new leaders for each Den. • They will be supported by a Tiger coordinator and

past Tiger leaders. • Tonight we must identify those leaders or the

Tigers cannot organize.• Please think about this during the rest of the

evening We will be talking to all of you about supporting the Scouts in this function.

• Good Leadership for our boys is crucial to the success of the Scouting program.

• Training is offered online and thru the Council. • There is a background check for all leaders.

Pack 571

Youth Protection• Our pack requires that each Scout have at

least one Parent trained in youth protection.
