A warm welcome to the European Para Youth Games 2019 in Pajulahti Olympic and Paralympic Training Center Finland! Our goal is to create a spectacular sports events as well as a unique atmosphere in the Athletes’ Village in Pajulahti. Memories of our beautiful Finnish nature and the magical summer nights will last a lifetime.

COMPETITION VENUES Pajulahti, an outstanding sports and leisure oasis is the only Olympic and Paralympic Training

Center in Finland. Area is located in eastern Lahti, on the clean lake Iso-Kukkanen, just over an hour´s drive from the capital area and twenty minutes from Lahti city center.

All accommodation, food services and sport venues (ext. athletics and swimming) are located at Pajulahti Olympic and Paralympic Training Center.

Pajulahti offers accommodation for up to 900 persons, including extra beds for children, in comfortable sport standard and well-equipped hotel standard rooms. Room types for all needs: single, double and

family rooms.

For your convenience all accommodation, main services and sport venues are located within walking distance.

HOTELS 120 roomsPajulahti has 5 hotels: Rantapaju 14 rooms, Hopeapaju 20 rooms,

Kangaspaju 18 rooms, accessible Kalliopaju 36 rooms and Puistopaju (2019) 32 rooms.

Please note that accessible accommodation capacity is limited, so participants are expected to share double or triple rooms.

We will assign accessible accommodations to persons with a higher level of movement impairment.

Accommodation is included in the entry fee. Same price category for all accommodation levels. Nations are requested to submit their rooming list and LOC will finalize all accommodation arrangements.

AArrivalDelegation arrivals are expected on Monday 24th of June 2019 at Helsin-ki airport. HEL airport is the biggest airport in Finland. Over 130 direct destinations in 45 countries around worldwide. LOC will provide tran-sportation services from the airport to Pajulahti Olympic and Paralympic Training Center. ATMThe closest ATM is 4km from Pajulahti. The currency is Euro. In Pajulahti you can pay all services by credit card.

FoodGenerous breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets are served daily in our spacious scenery restaurant. We cater to all special dietary needs. Licenced diet chef on duty.Our buffets are well-balanced and carefully prepared from healthy Finnish ingredients, mainly from local producers.

HHeiHei, Moi, Terve, Hyvää Päivää are all Finnish words for Hi & hello. Finnish is one of the most difficult languages in the world. In Finland we pronounce the words just like we write it. First learn these and then we will teach you more.

IInsuranceEach NPC must ensure that all the team members of their delegations are appropriately insured, including cove-rage for travel, liability and accidents.

MMedical support The LOC will provide a team of medi-cal personnel that will be present at the venues during the training and com-petition days. In case of severe injury the emergency ambulance service will accompany you to the nearest hospital, not more than 10min away.

PPhoneIf you want to buy a local prepaid phone subscription to your mobile phone you can buy it from the R-kioski. You will find R-kioski at the airport and one is located 4km from Pajulahti.

Participation of a minimum of 4 athletes/teams is required to confirm the Event as a Medal Event at the start time. Events that do not meet these criteria will be combined and upgraded to Medal Event or

competed as Non-Medal Event.

LOC reserves the rights to combine the age groups and sport classes

PARTICIPATION CRITERIA

Specific schedule of each sports will come to our website during the spring 2019.

ENTRY FEEENTRY FEES:

Personal entry fee is 130€/person/day.the total amount is 910€/person for the 24th June - 1st July 2019.

Entry fee is intended PER PERSON in a shared DOUBLE or TRIPLE room.

Additional cost for a single room is 30€ per person per day. Please notice that there is a limited capacity for single room.

The fee covers accommodation, full board meals (from dinner on the arrival day to breakfast on departure day), ceremonies, banquet, event transportation and supporting Events.

TIMING

First step: 15th of February 2019. Fill out the first part of the official declaration form (first entry), by indicating the number of confirmed participants. After returning the first entry, we will send your NPC an invoice of the first 30% non-refundable payment. Payment terms: seven days after date of invoice.

Second step: 31st of March. Fill the final list of participants accompanied by travel and accommodation details (second entry). After returning the second entry we will send your NPC an invoice of the final 70% payment of the total entry fee. Payment terms: seven days after date of invoice.

The LOC must receive the invoiced amounts in full. This means that all bank fees are responsibility of the payer.

After the last entry (second step) the LOC will be available to help supporters and families in the process to join the Event (accommodation).

PENALTIES

The first payment 30% of the entry fee is non-refundable.

For any cancellation after the second entry from 31st of March to 30th of April the reimbursement is 50% of the personal entry fee.

From 1st of May to 25st of May the reimbursement is 30% of personal entry fee.

Starting from 26th of May no reimbursement will be paid.

After the second entry cancellation is possible only with a medical certificate.
