EXTRA- CURRICULAR PROBATION

Participating in athletics or other extracurricular activities and representing Clarenville High School is a privilege. The school’s Probation committee will determine and monitor student eligibility for extracurricular activities at the school. Students representing Clarenville High on a school team or club should be aware of the following THREE requirements:

1) Academic Eligibility

• If a student not reaching their academic potential at any time during the term, they will meet with the administration and placed on probation.

• If, at the end of the probation period, the student is NOT working to potential, he/she will lose eligibility to participate in extracurricular activities. The length of probation and/or suspension will be determined by the administration.

• Students who are suspended from school will be considered ineligible for participation during the entire length of the suspension. If a weekend occurs in the middle of the suspension, the student is still ineligible.

3) Attendance

• Active and regular attendance is required of all students participating in an extracurricular activity at Clarenville High School.
