Progress Reports and Grading

Parent conferences to discuss report cards in detail are the week of November 18th-22nd . There is no school on the 18th and the remaining days that week are modified for conferences.
Grading in first grade is based on common assessments, performance based assessments, and in-class observations
Homework
Sent home Monday with a reading log, math menu & problem of the week
Homework is due on Friday District homework policy Homework will begin the 4th week of
school (September 9th)
District and SEES Policies
Clothing: no flip-flops, spaghetti straps, halter tops, or jewelry
Shoes: For safety reasons, please send your child with shoes that they can tie
Sharing Birthdays: follow SMUSD Wellness Policy
Tardiness: check in at office if late; frequent tardiness interrupts student learning
