The Warren Elementary Staff Believes…in excellence and equity by empowering leaders to have the knowledge and strategies to be innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers, effective communicators, and caring citizens.
When students leave our school everyday, they should have an even greater sense of confidence in their abilities, their place, and their value in the world. Our team expects greatness from each and every one of them and we want them to know of their greatness within.
Warren Elementary School’s GoalImprove achievement level of all
students.
Develop responsible social skills of all students.
Maintain a positive school culture and climate for stakeholders, i.e., students, staff and parents.
Our Focus Literacy Math Climate
What is Authentic Literacy??
Is the ability to read, write, listen, speak clearly and think critically using print and digital materials across all disciplines. Literacy involves a continuum of learning, enabling individuals to achieve their goals, to develop their knowledge and potential, and to participate fully in their community and wider society.
(UNESCO, 2004)
Literacy is an equity issue as Tomie DePaola states,”Reading is important because
if you can read, you can learn anything and everything and everything about
anything.”
Our Reading Initiative Develop strong foundational skills in literacy through systematic, explicit
instruction in the areas of phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, and fluency .
Will Achieve This Goal By:
Analyzing data and providing targeted guided reading groups daily with students.

through written and spoken communication
Will Achieve This Goal By:
