Endangered SpeciesThis native plant, the Silverswords, once covered the entire mountain of Mauna Loa. The National Park Service is restoring the population.

Effects of my vacation…. Increase carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and as a result increase of carbon dioxide in the oceans.

I recycled all items.No plastic bags on the Big Island….brought my own reusable bags!
