Common Application
Some schools have what is called the common application. Once filled out and completed, a student may upload and use this for any school which allows the common app this saves TIME!

Application by going to the specific schools webpage and clicking on apply. You’ll get redirected to Common App.
Watch if the school has Supplemental Forms Be sure to check: Early Action, Early Decision,
Honors Scholarships/College if that is the route you want to go.
Common App. is also used for specific Scholarships- attached to the school you are applying to. Ex) OSU’s Merit/Honors Scholarship

Early Decision vs. Early Action
Many Ohio private colleges participate in the early action or early decision program.
Early Decision
Commits a student to go to that school
Is a contract between the student and the school
Student promise, with acceptance to this school, to withdraw all other applications
Student can apply Early Decision to only one school
Early Action
Student applies to an institution of preference
Not a contract between student and school
Student is not obligated to accept school’s offer
Student will receive a decision well in advance of school’s regular response date

There will be a meeting January 7th at 6:30 in the cafeteria with a financial aid director from a local college.
