From the Principal
STUDENTS ARE RETURNING TO SCHOOL It was lovely to see some of the children at school yesterday and I would like to thank parents for supporting a gradual return to school by sending them on their allocated day. Just a reminder that the days are: Banksia – Monday Wattle – Tuesday Boronia – Thursday Waratah – Friday
Children should bring their own pens, pencils etc., drink bottles, textbooks and weekly worksheets on the day they attend school. Please keep your children home if they are unwell and advise the school as you normally would to explain the absence.
The children are departing from school by the gate allocated to the youngest child. A map explaining this has been placed on the school Facebook page and is included in the newsletter.
In the interest of social distancing it is important that parents remain off site, practice social distancing while waiting for the children and support the decisions made by the school regarding departure.
SCHOOL PHOTOS
Our school photographer has advised that they will be here in September to take the children’s photos. “This year, the format for school photos will change to a composite style. Each student will be photographed individually, with the group created digitally as a composite. This will eliminate the need for students to be grouped together in close contact with either themselves, or our staff.”
ADDITIONAL PROTOCOLS INCLUDE:
Students will move in and out of the portrait studio area individually.
The area will be set up in such a way as to ensure that each individual student will maintain the recommended social distancing guidelines of 1.5m from other students and the photographer.
MSP Photography staff will provide instructions to each class upon entry to the photography area.
Hygiene and cleaning guidelines used by MSP Photography staff are in accordance with information distributed by the relevant Health Authorities.

ONLINE ENROLMENT SYSTEM We are excited to announce we will be rolling out the new Online Enrolment System from Monday, 18 May 2020. The Online Enrolment System is designed to provide flexibility for parents to submit an Application to Enrol in a NSW Government School online at a time that best suits you. The application can be accessed on all browsers and mobile devices including iOS and Android.
The online application process is currently restricted to: Enrolments into local schools only Children who are Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens or permanent residents Children who live in NSW
We offer our support and encourage you to complete your application to enrol online. If however, if you do not feel comfortable completing an application online, a paper copy will be available for collection from the school front office or can be downloaded from the Department’s going to a public school site.

Please be advised that the uniform shop will not be opening for face to face customers at this
stage, as the school has requested limited parents on school grounds due to social distancing.
If you wish to purchase uniforms you can now do so by our new online ordering system or by

Ensure you add your child’s name and class in the checkout section when it asks for an address.
Ensure you order the correct size as all items are by size.
Items shown on the web site do not show the UBPS logo, however be assured that any item that
usually has a logo will come that way.
NOTE: We will not be shipping orders, they will be sent to your child’s classroom for them to bring
home.
Other changes:
1: We will no longer be accepting payments via the school POP system. You are required
to order online via the above site, in person at the shop or with cash in an envelope with
your order form left at the school office.
2: Due to work commitments of some of our volunteers for Term 2, we will be changing the
Uniform shop day to Wednesday. Same opening hours as usual.
