    On this object I applied smooth tool to give a rounder look. At first the outcome of the smooth toolwas not what I expected since it turned out slightly distorted. By adding more subdivisions andmoving the edge lines towards the edges of the polygon gave a rounder look closest to the edgelines.

    Since the shape below is not flat, I the aligned the shape above to it by selecting the verticesindividually and altered the axis to match the floor using the move tool.

    For this shape extrusion was applied to the top faces. The end face was then rescaled.

    I encountered a problem with the faces of the first polygon shape since Maya detected another facehas been added inside the polygonal object. I solved this by simply deleting the object andreproducing ensuring I rescale and extrude correctly.

    This time I ensured the objects where connected together accurately using the snap together tool.This tool made sure the second object connects exactly in centre.

    The same smoothing technique was applied to this model.

    Edge Loop tool was applied to this part of the pyramid to allow moving of the edge without affectingthe shapes which act as the supporting stands.

    The gun was formed by extruding the front face of the cylinder polygon the scaling down the end.

    A curve was added to the bullet by first deleting the end face of the object. The outside Edges wherethen selected and first extruded out. The edges where then the x axis of the rotate tool was movedto the left. Because I the rotate mode was set to world by default, the edges had rotated and begandistorting. Changing the rotate mode to object ensured the edges rotated without distortion.

    For this model I also couunted number of sides for less issues when maniplating meshes of objects. Istarted off with front part of model

    bottom part of the model and noticed it has six sides. I thought it would be best to replicate this partof the spaceship by using the polugon cube.

    The Polygonal model was then manipulated into the correct shape by altering the position of theedges using the move tool. At first move the move axis setting was set to world by defuault whichcauses the edges to move towards the perpective which was undeired since I noticed the edges axiswas not set to straight. Fortunetly I discovered changing the move axis to object resulted in straightmovement.

    I noticed the front part has a wide structure. I found manipulatating the verticies points to the whereaproarate was the best option to mould the correct shape. The part I found frustrating was theverticies had to be manipuliated individually because when multiple vertercie points where selected,they all moved in the same direction.

    I added Edge Loop tool to allow extrusion where needed. I thought this tool will be most effective toadd more sides.

    The windows of the plane where designed by adding extrusion the faces where selected. Each facecomprised two extrusions, first reducing sclaling then pushing the faces in.
