The 6th
Annual 6K Run for Ralph & Ryan will take place on Sunday, October 12th
at
2pm. Since the run’s inception almost a thousand people have ran or walked for Ralph &
Ryan, (10) Senior student athletes from East and West High have been awarded college
scholarships, (2) individuals have received scholarships for being the first college student to
cross the finish line (courtesy of the family of Ralph Sallee), and most importantly,
numerous agencies and organizations have joined together to demonstrate heartfelt
compassion and community support by honoring the memory of Ralph Sallee and Ryan
Robinson. The effort and resources of the Board of Education, staff at East and West High,
the City of Nicholasville, Jessamine County Fiscal Court, the Nicholasville Police Dept.,
Sheriff’s Dept., County & City Fire Departments, and literally dozens of volunteers have
been invaluable in conducting the event. We cannot express our appreciation and gratitude
for your hard work and commitment. Please help us spread the word and make plans to
run or walk on Second Sunday (2ndsundayky.org), October 12th
for Ralph & Ryan!

share with you that the Jessamine School District has been named a Proficient/Progressing

past year to bring our district to proficiency as each and every school in the district made
progress from 2012-13.

“LEAN On Me” concept is straight from the song lyrics, “sometimes in our lives we all have
pain and we all have sorrow” learning to depend on fellow classmates, trust the adults at
school and to treat others well. This “culture of kindness” will support the subtitle of
“STOP the Bullying” by getting to the root of the problem before episodes escalates.
