Temperature

Temperature is how hot or cold it is.

A thermometer is an instrument that measures temperature.

Temperature is measured in degrees Fahrenheit (°F) or

degrees Celsius (°C).

Air Pressure

Air pressure is the pressing down of air on Earth.

An instrument called a barometer measures air pressure.

Wind

Wind is moving air.

An anemometer measures wind speed.

An instrument called a wind vane shows what direction the wind is coming from.

Moisture

Humidity is a measure of how much water vapor is in the air.

A hygrometer is an instrument that measures humidity.

Precipitation

Precipitation is water returning back to Earth.

A rain gauge is a weather instrument that measures the amount of precipitation (rain) that falls to the ground.
