For the CO2 generated, we propose Carbon, Capture Utilization & Storage (CCUS)

Carbon Capture Utilization &

Storage (CCUS) is one of the most

important activity shortlisted by

Hon’ble Min of Petroleum &

Natural Gas Shri Dharmendra

Pradhan, during Indo-US

ministerial meetings on 17th July,

2020. (Press note on the left)

27

CO2 - Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR)

EOR is a method, adopted to extend the life and recovery of Oil from depleting and aging wells.

The process of injecting CO2 into existing oil fields is a well-known “enhanced oil recovery” (EOR) technique: the addition of CO2 increases the overall pressure of an oil reservoir, forcing the oil towards production wells.

The CO2 can also blend with the oil, improving its mobility and so allowing it to flow more easily. And Additionally, Oil reservoir with void will be permanent storage of remaining CO2.

Salient features of our WTE plant

• Each campus is dedicated to serving the communities within which it is located, and with this objective, its entire planning and design incorporate multiple elements that can engage, interact, and form enduring bonds with members of the community across a wide variety of genders, age groups, and interests, such as

1. Inviting visitors from different sections of society and helping them to gain awareness and knowledge on the subject of waste and its impact on society through displays in the form of art, photography, films and other media, around the subject of urban waste with respect to local ecosystems and from a larger global perspective.

2. Guidance and support to promote greening initiatives within the campus and surrounding areas with a dedicated nursery maintaining an inventory of native tree saplings.

3. Space for display and trials of green and cleantech products and solutions such as electric vehicles, solar system, etc.

4. Space to organize art related events such as visual art exhibitions, music and dance recitals, and celebration of festivals such as Navratri.

5. Outdoor sports facilities for games such as football, cricket, volleyball, lawn tennis, athletics, etc. 6. Thematic water and lighting-based elements to attract young children as well as adults accompanying

them to visit and experience the campus.

In a nutshell, each Abellon WTE Campus is envisaged as an integral part of the activities and life of the community within which it is located.
