Any faults relating to manufacture of this Air Conditioner will be covered by SAMSUNG Australia with no cost to the owner. The warranty card should be completed and the original purchase docket attached and retained by the customer at all times in a safe location.

Exclusions to the warranty are listed on reversePlease retain this section along with your purchase docket as proof of warranty and present this to the service technician at the time of service. If warranty service is required contact the Customer Call Centre on 1300 362 603 with your Air conditioner details (listed below), and a Samsung Customer Service Plaza(CSP) or Authorised Service Centre(ASC) will be arranged to contact you or visit the Samsung website www.samsung.com.au to find the nearest Samsung CSP or ASC.

Exclusions1. The Samsung Warranty ceases if:

a. The original manufacturer’s serial number is removedb. The product is sold at auctionc. The product is modified, repaired or interfered with in any way by an unauthorised persond. The product is damaged through

•normal wear and tear•accident•misuse or abusive use, storm, fire, Acts of God, flood, vandalism or theft•failure to properly maintain the product (annual servicing, regular cleaning of filters etc)•use of non authorised/non-standard parts•repair or other work carried out on the Samsung consumer product other than by Authorised Samsung Service Personnel.•infestation of insects and vermin•incomplete or improper installation or incorrect application•incorrect operation or not following the operation instructions•use of faulty/leaking batteries•incorrect voltage or non-authorised electrical connections•corrosion, rust or damage due to normal weathering•or corrosive environmental conditions(including without limitation salt spray, sand and dust)

e. The product is used in a commercial environment where the climatic comfort of humans is not the primary function (eg computer server room)f. The product is installed in a transportable or mobile application (eg caravan or boat)g. The product is used other than in Australia

2. This warranty applies only to the original installation location/address3. This warranty does not cover service costs for regular maintenance or replacement of items requiring periodic replacement (batteries, deodorizing filters etc)

Claim4. If warranty service is required contact 1300 362 603 or visit our website and use the service locator to find the nearest Samsung Customer Service Plaza(CSP) or Authorised Service Centre(ASC). Warranty service is carried out during normal operating hours.

This warranty is in addition to, and does not exclude, restrict or modify in any way a consumer’srights under the Australian Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth).

Liability5. If we are in breach of the warranty we will be liable to you only to the following extent:

a. The repair of the product by an Authorised Service Centreb. Replacement of the Samsung product or replacement by supply of a similar productc. The payment of the cost of replacing the Samsung Product with a similar productd. The payment of having the Samsung product repaired. Under no circumstances will we be liable to you for any consequential loss or damage.

6. If we provide you with,or pay the cost of,either a replacement or similar product you immediately transfer ownership of the original Samsung product to us

Not coveredIf, after we have inspected the Samsung product we are of the opinion that the product or alleged defect is not covered by warranty for whatever reason, you will be liable for any labour, parts or transport costs incurred by the Samsung CSP or ASC.

All installation, removal or reinstallation of Samsung Air Conditioners should be completed by a qualified trades-person. The product must be installed in an easily accessible area. Air Conditioners installed on roofs or above ground level may require additional cost for labour or access equipment to be borne by the owner should service or maintenance be required. Faults caused by improper installation are not covered by warranty. In order to comply with Australian electrical regulations, electrical connection for all permanently wired air conditioners must be completed by a qualified electrician or other suitably qualified and licensed person and provided with an electrical code of compliance where installation is subject to a building consent.
