In VP Bank e-banking, you use state-of-the-art security procedures to authorise your banking transactions and to authen-ticate yourself as a user. As an alternative to using the VP Bank Security Token, you can register your smartphone as a Mobile Token if you require greater flexibility.

Flexible security procedure

You register your smartphone once via the e-banking mobile app as a Mobile Token and can then use it in order to confirm the e-banking login process or authorise payments.

Established security system

The three-step login procedure using a username, password, a generated push notification and the user’s notification confirmation provides optimal protection against hacker attacks.

Intuitive use

You can find all relevant information about your action in the push notification and can confirm it with a single click. The easy handling of the push notifications makes secure login even more quickly.

Register your Mobile Token

Step 1 To register your smartphone as Mobile Token log into the VP Bank e-banking app as usual. Open the “Services – Mobile Token” menu.

Step 2 Select the “Register Mobile Token” button.

Step 3 Assign a name to the Mobile Token. This name will subsequently be used to identify your device.

Step 4

Confirm the registration of the Mobile Token with the VP Bank Security Token. Import the flickering graphic with the

Security Token. The text “Register Mobile Token” appears on the display. Press the “OK” button. The required code is then displayed on the Security Token. Enter the code in the registration mask.

Step 5 A notice confirming the registration of your Mobile Token is displayed in the app.

Step 6

The Mobile Token appears in the overview and can now be used for logging into e-banking and authorising payments.

Log into e-banking

Step 1

Start the VP Bank e-banking on your computer and enter your username and password. Click on “Next”.

Step 2 You can decide which security procedure you wish to use. Select your registered Mobile Token and click on “Next”.

Step 3 A push notification is generated and automatically sent to your smartphone. The session number of the procedure and the remaining time for your confirmation of the push notification are displayed on your computer.

Step 4

Open the push notification in the app and compare the session number with the number displayed on your computer. If the numbers match, confirm the notifica-tion. Your login to e-banking is continued.

Authorise payments in e-banking

Provided you have activated the additio-nal authentication for payments option, you can use the Mobile Token to autho-rise payments.

Step 1

Enter the payment in VP Bank e-banking on your computer.

Step 2

After entering the payment, you can decide which security procedure you wish to use. Select your registered Mobile Token and click on “Next”.

Step 3

A push notification with the payment details is generated and automatically sent to your smartphone.

Step 4

Open the push notification in the app and compare the payment details displayed with your order details. Authorise the payment by confirming the notification.

General information

Procedure if no active push notification is displayedIf no push notification is displayed, we recommend restarting your e-banking app. The app should display all push confirmation notifications directly. Compare the session number in the notification with the number in the login window on your computer and confirm the current push notification if the numbers match. After confirming, the login procedure on the computer is continued.

Duration of validity of the push notificationThe push notification is valid for 100 seconds. If the notification is not confirmed within this period, the message “Period expired” will be displayed on the e-banking client. Repeat the procedure and generate a new push notification.

Old push notifications in the overviewIn certain situations, old push confirmation notifications may be displayed in the overview.
