Elsewhere, there are other superb floral displays by other businesses including the simply magnificent display at Coco Ice Cocktail Bar.By night, the social side of Bawtry springs to life with a host of places available to grab everything from a pint after work to evening cocktails, or Yorkshire tapas to authentic Japanese Teppenyaki or Tuscan dishes.Recently, the Bawtry Evening Partnership has been formulated to protect visitors to the town each night by providing visual security and assistance, ensuring the reputation of the town as Doncaster’s most exclusive night out is maintained. Provided by Key Security, the night time ambassadors can help with directions, first aid or calling a taxi at the end of the evening if you find yourself stranded.Whilst Bawtry is available for business seven days a week, Sunday is a day where it has sprung to life for shopping and socialising. Also temporary home to many a celebrity, boy band McFly was one of the most recent guests to enjoy the hotel’s legendary hospitality and signature executive suites. The boys also enjoyed visiting Bawtry Health and Fitness where they were so impressed with the lack of ‘celebrity adoration’ that they felt compelled to comment on how much they had enjoyed being there and were able to just get on with their training. Let’s face it; there are so many celebs in Bawtry these days such as Boyzone, Peter Andre and local hero Howard Webb football referee, that we barely bat an eyelid!!2011 is ‘Happy Birthday’ for a few Bawtry businesses. Robinsons is pleased to welcome on board a number of new sta!.

We would like to welcome the latest member to the team our very own Graphic Designer, Bradley Hayes. For the past few years Bradley has worked as a freelance Graphic Designer and Computer Wiz and we felt he was the perfect candidate to join our team. Watch out for his creative work on our newly built website as well as our e-newsletters, magazine adverts, twitter and Robinsons’ blog.

Lucy Budtz started work for us in November, working hard on ladies wear. Our own Robinsons star, she has modelled in the last two Robinsons Charity fashion shows with previous modelling credentials including the likes of L’Oreal, Wella, and the Karen Millen show in New York. She is also soon to become a member of the family when Amy (Russ and Wendy’s daughter) marry Lucy’s brother in the Summer.

Did you know we have our own champion cake decorator within the store? The name behind the cake is, Adrian Torr. Adrian recently joined the team on menswear after working in out of town restaurants as a sta! trainer and in customer service. Maybe we should ask him to decorate a 25th Anniversary cake for Robinsons?

Loved by all Robinsons customers, Derek Charnley has now been with the store four years. After starting as general assistant, Derek is now menswear assistant manager and a really valued member of our team. We would like to thank Derek for all his hard work over the past four years and for many more years to come!

After welcoming all our wonderful new sta!, we are also very sad to lose a much loved and valuable member of the team, Clare O’Malley. Clare left the store in December after spending over 10 years at Robinsons as she wanted a new challenge. However, Clare won’t be far away, she has set up her own nail salon, Clare @ Perfect 10 in the premises at the back of Robinsons. The whole team would like to wish her well and all the luck for the future. Read more about Clare @ Perfect 10 in the ‘Visit Bawtry’ section.

After winning best dressed Christmas window, Robinsons was eager to take part in the Easter competition. Once again, we called upon our friends at Nottingham Trent University and overnight our window was transformed into a garden haven. Manufactured in She!eld, Urban Threads is Robinsons latest ‘it’ label to hit the ladies wear department. Urban Threads is a family run business created by Lesley Sandra. Previously only available in London emporiums such as Harvey Nichols, the women’s collection is designed and hand tailored by Lesley herself. The collection consists of unique and characteristic occasion and casual pieces. Unique feather weight pieces merge perfectly into the collection along with silk, chi"on and jersey pieces culminating in full red carpet glamour.

Lesley Sandra is an inspiration to fashion design. Lesley returned to fashion after a glittering career was placed on hold whilst she enjoyed motherhood. Previously having a show room in New Bond Street, London where her individual collections were showcased; her collections have also hit the fashion capitals standing alongside the likes of Vivienne Westwood , Jean Muir and Zandra Rhodes.
