How to insert a Text Box

Click on InsertGo to Text BoxClick on slide to insert

OR

Click on Drawing Toolbar picture of Text BoxClick on slide to insert text box onto page

How to insert Pictures

CLIP ART• Click on Insert• Go to Picture• Click on Clip Art• Type in your

search word• Choose clipart• Click on insert

Saved Images• Click on Insert• Go to Picture• Click on From File• Navigate to your

saved image• Click Insert

This template was created using a master slide. When you insert a new slide, you will continue to get a slide like this one with the page turn action buttons in place.

When you insert a new slide, the slide layout window will open. Choose the blank template under the content layout option.

How to insert music

Click on InsertGo to Movies and SoundsChoose sound from File or Sound from Clip Organizer

OR

If you want the sound to play by itself after the page turns;•Click on Slide Show•Go to Slide Transition•Click on the black triangle next to Sound and scroll down to bottom and Choose Other Sound•Go to the folder where your music is stored and select your mp3 and click Ok

To record your voice and attach it to your page, go to start\programs\multimedia\sound recorder. Record your voice and save to your folder. Then insert it with your slide transition.

How to Record your voice

•Click on Insert•Go to Movies and Sounds•Choose Record Sound•Click on the red dot and begin your narration. •Click on the square to stop. •Click OK when done.•Click on the picture of the speaker to hear your narration.

How to insert Video

•Click on Insert•Go to Movies from file•Select your movie from the folder you put it in.•Choose if you want it to play automatically when the page has turned or if you want it to play after it has been clicked.

How to Link to a website

Choice oneCreate a text box and then type in or paste web address. Push the enter key when your cursor is at the end of the address to activate it.http://nypl.org

Choice twoRight-Click on an image and then click on Hyperlink

Paste or type in web address and click OK

Create an Active Text Box

•Click on view•Scroll down to Toolbars•Choose Control Toolbox•Select Text Box•When your mouse arrow turns into a crosshair, click and drag on your slide and a box will appear.

This text box is only active when your presentation is playing in show mode. Text can only be edited in design mode by right clicking on box and choosing edit.

Right click on box and choose properties to change font, colors and text wrap.---------------------------------------------Select the check box or radio buttons to have these live options in a show.
