    The home stayHome stay in villages is simple in term of bedding condition andtoilet. We will sleep on beds or floor with mattress, clean sheet,pillows and mosquito nets. Toilet is usually flush-style

    The trekking dayA typical trekking day start at about 8.30 am after breakfast.Lunch times can vary depending on the terrain. We aim to reachthe next overnight stop by 4.30 or 5. During the trek we will haveshort breaks for rest, snack and photographing.

    FoodAll meals, which are indicated in the itinerary, are included in theprice of this trip. While in big towns we will enjoy Vietnamesecuisine in fine restaurants. Once we travel away from big towns,the emphasis will be on healthy and nutritious fresh local

    produce.

    ATV tour guideThe tour will be led by one of our tour guides who are experienced in guiding trekking tours in Vietnam.He has been carefully trained in this field and is fully licensed in tour guiding by the government. In addi-tion, he has been trained in first-aid by SOS International and he knows how to deal with difficult situa-tions. You will have a great time traveling with him.

    Detailed Itinerary

    Day 1: Hanoi Mai Chau Trek to Hang KiaVillageIn the morning we leave for Mai Chau, the beautifulgate way to the mountainous area of northernVietnam. On the way we will have a short stop forrefreshment. Upon arrival in Mai Chau we will pickup our local guide and continue driving to Xa LinhVillage, where we will have our lunch in a localhouse before setting off on a beautiful trekking inthe afternoon. From here we will not use our caruntil the last day. After lunch we will begin our trekon the villages road to reach Tra Day Village,home to a small community of Black Hmongpeople. Continue trekking to the scenic valley ofHang Kia. Tonight we will stay overnight with aHmong family. While our local guide cooks dinnerwe can take a stroll in the village to observe localsdaily life.SummaryTransfer: 4 hrs

    Day 2: Trek to Van VillageAfter breakfast in the house we say goodbye to thehost family and begin the trek of the day. We willwalk through dense jungle for one hour beforedescending a peaceful valley. On the mountainslope we will have great view of stunningmountains, bamboo forest and villages. Crossing asmall stream at the bottom of the mountain we thentake a lunch break in a village of Thai people. Inthe afternoon the terrain becomes easier, we willtrek 2 hrs in the valley, passing many rice paddiesand villages of Thai and Muong ethnic minorities.The path leads us to the beautiful village of Van,where we spend the night with a Thai family. Whilewaiting for dinner we can take stroll in the village orhave a pre-dinner drink.SummaryTrekking: 6-hr trek/jungle trail & dirt

    Day 3: Trek to Buoc VillageToday we trek 3 hrs in the morning. The path runsuphill and downhill through bamboo forest, riceterraces and longan farms. On the trek we may seefarmers working on their farms. At lunchtime we willreach Buoc, another scenic village of White Thaiethnic minority. We will have lunch in a local house.In the afternoon we will enjoy 2-hr leisure trekaround the village. Weather permitting, at the end ofthe day we could enjoy the cool water of the streamnearby the home stay.SummaryTrekking: 5-hr trek/village road & dirt path/

    Day 4: Trek to Van Mai Transfer to Hanoi

    After breakfast we enjoy the last trekking alongmountain foot to reach Van Mai Village, where wewill transferred to Pom Coong Village for lunch in alocal house.
