I am a big fan of video games and I think that its a nice way to be more technology savvy.Elementary memories: Oregon Trail etc (prehistoric) Current times these are creative ways to get the students inspired to learn.1Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS)Student must pass assessment to enter ninth gradeStudents, on prior assessments, scored poorly in Mathematics

Summer program to help students -350 students took the testStudents took 30 min sessions per day of 4 hour class time.

2DimensionM/Tabula DigitalEducational video games.Games challenge and test the students abilities in mathematics.Teaches students in ways they want to learnVideo game software followed state and federal testing standards.

Correlate well with current teacher Basal programs. Suitable for grades K-12.

Available in various subjects: math, literacy, history and scienceAllows students with different learning backgrounds to play against each other while still learning on their own individual levels. Teaches students in ways that are new and creativepeaking their interes in various subjects.3Research Results Students felt the games helped them to improve their mathematics skills.Students became interested in learning mathematics again.

Students today are digitally advanced and this not only helped but peaked interest in ways standard teaching methods were not able to. Teachers feel that this is a great way to help students learn and are eager to integrate this into their classrooms. How video games helped this school district.The idea of video games in the classroom is still a fairly new subject but teachers are warming up to the idea of it!I would definitely use this in my classroom.5THE END
