VERBAL JUDOJoin Mercer Island Martial Arts for our Verbal Judo Program.

Verbal Judo is a program used to train police to verbally deescalate situations, to keep them from becoming physical. We have modified the work to use with kids and youth to train them to verbally deal with bully’s, and conflict effectively.

Mercer Island Martial Arts will be teaching this program to our students to promote peace and harmony in the family, the schools, and the community.

Master Strongheart holds a Masterʼs Degree in Psychology and has worked with youth and families as a counselor and coach for over 20 years.  She also is a 5th Dan Master Instructor of the martial arts.  She will be leading this program at Mercer Island Martial Arts to teach students conflict resolution skills.
