DAY ONE

DAY TWO

8:00am Whip up a family breakfast and chat about the activities you’re most excited for, as you dine in-rental. Indulge in a treat you may not always have time for in your busy life, like pancakes from scratch!

9:30am Beach please! Pack up snacks and drinks, beach towels, and sunscreen and head to the beach. Catch a wave, work on your tan, or dive into an easy summer read.

12:00pm Why leave the beach for lunch when you can pack sandwiches and chips in advance? Take respite under your sun-brella and enjoy your lunch while you watch the waves crash – the best dining view there is!

1:30pm Wrap up your day at the beach by having a sandcastle contest. Winner gets to pick the appetizer for your upcoming dinner! Head back to your rental with enough time to get showered and ready.

6:00pm Head to Louis Louis Restaurant and Bar for a tasty local dinner. Their menu boasts amazingly fresh meat and seafood dishes that won’t disappoint. Enjoy the laid back atmosphere while you relive the highlights of your day.

8:00pm It’s only Day 2, so don’t wear yourself out! Head back to your rental to enjoy a night of board games or cards. You’ll finally discover which of your family members has a competitive edge!

8:00am Wake up refreshed and grab some breakfast at the Great Southern Café, located in nearby Seaside.

Insider Tip: Go healthy with their Veggie Frittata, and get ready for another amazing day.

DAY THREE

9:30am South Walton is extremely bike friendly, so if you didn’t bring bikes, rent them at Seaside Transit Authority Bike Rentals. Then head west down Scenic Highway 30A, exploring each unique beach town.

12:00pm A staple beach town is Gulf Place, located on the west end of Scenic Highway 30A. Put down your kickstand here and grab lunch at The Perfect Pig, a tasty joint with a keen eye for (you guessed it) pig!

6:00pm Continue exploring the west end of Scenic Highway 30A with dinner at Stinky’s Fish Camp, where their motto is, “With a name like Stinky’s, it better be good.” And it is!

DAY FOUR

9:00am Sleep in, you’re on vacation! Then whip up a quick and sustaining breakfast like a yogurt parfait or oatmeal before heading out to explore.

10:00am Head to Grayton Beach, a laid back beach town, for some stand up paddleboarding. With Yolo Board right there, you can rent boards and head straight to the coastal dune lake that leads out into the ocean.

8:00pm Have a family movie night in the living room! Indulge in your favorite candy and salty snacks, and snuggle up with a cheesy romance, spooky thriller, or sci-fi galaxy flick.

6:00pm On your way back to your rental, swing by Buddy’s Seafood Market for some local grouper and be the chef for the night.

Insider Tip: The local chefs recommend cooking with butter, lemon, and capers for mouthwatering goodness.

1:30pm Don’t be in a hurry to leave Grayton. Right behind The Red Bar, there’s an entrance to a coastal dune lake. Use the opportunity to snap some great photos of your family and friends.

1:30pm Walk off some of your lunch by exploring the outdoor art district in the center of Gulf Place, featuring local artists such as pottery expert Dwight Ward. After splurging on some coastal gems, hop back on your bike, homeward bound.

8:00pm If you’re looking for a spot to catch a nightcap, swing by the Vue on 30A. In addition to its amazing “vue” of the Gulf of Mexico, the craft cocktails and wine list has something for everyone.

12:30pm You’re sure to have worked up an appetite by now, and The Red Bar in Grayton Beach is the perfect spot for a tasty lunch.

Insider Tip: You can’t go wrong with their Grilled Fish Sandwich.

12:00pm When you’re ready, grab lunch at one of Bud & Alley’s Waterfront Restaurants in Seaside. Choose from a local sit down restaurant, a pizza bar and trattoria, or a taco bar, all with a gorgeous beach backdrop.

DAY FIVE

9:30am Rent your own pontoon boat through Motorboatin’ 30A and coast along and relax.

Insider Tip: If you’re feeling lucky, upgrade with some fishing rods and cast a line.

12:00pm Whether you packed leftovers, homemade sandwiches, or grabbed a wrap from Freshii, enjoy your lunch time strolling down the coast.

4:00pm Continue exploring the east end of Scenic Highway 30A by heading to Rosemary Beach to admire its beautiful architecture. When you’re ready for dinner, head to Cowgirl Kitchen for some good eats!

1:30pm Head back to shore in the early afternoon so you can get cleaned up for a night out.

8:00pm If you’re looking to stay out, Rosemary Beach is a great place for a bar crawl with unique bars and restaurants. Or, head back to your rental for an evening dip, if you have access to a pool.

DAY SIX

8:00am Spend some time coming around in your vacation rental, and get the whole crew involved in whipping up a southern breakfast with all the fixin’s! Savor some bacon, eggs, and biscuits.

9:30am Set up shop at the beach, your temporary home for the day! Bring along a cooler with some snacks and refreshments. And don’t forget the sunscreen!

6:00pm Celebrate your last night in paradise with an in-rental dinner. Prepare a Southern dish that will have everyone licking their fingers clean, like this recipe for Roasted Gulf Shrimp with Romesco Sauce, compliments of Southern Living.

8:00am It’s time to explore the east end of Scenic Highway 30A! What better way to do it than by boat? Swing by Freshii for a breakfast burrito before putting your captain hat on for the day.

Insider Tip: If you didn’t pack a lunch, grab some to-go wraps too.

8:30pm Decide with your friends and family on your favorite nighttime activity of the week and then do it again, assuring you go out with a bang, whether that’s a game night in or a nightcap out.

1:30pm Head back to the beach to make sure you perfect your tan before the week ends. The only blues you need to get at the end of a vacation are more blue water.

DAY SEVEN

7:30am Sadly, the day has come to leave South Walton. But don’t fret! The fun is far from over. It’s time to whip up all the breakfast food that’s left in the fridge and get ready for the day.

10:00am It’s time to clean up, pack up and head out of your rental. ResortQuest’s Glad to Have You app lets you simply get in the car and hit “check-out” when you’re ready. But you may want to visit the local office to secure the property for your vacation next year!

Insider Tip: Current guests have first right of refusal on their condo or home for the same week next summer.

8:45am Once you clear out the kitchen, head to the beach for some last-minute sun. If you’re traveling with children, this can wear them out before the trek back home.
