    Short descriptionMoving images are more important than ever.

    Business operates in a world where communication

    is dominated by the web, social media and mobiledevices. How can business leaders use lm to ex-plain products, communicate emotions and conveycorporate identities?

    This module provides an introduction to the eldof lm production, focusing on fundamental andspecialist terms, creative possibilities, work ows andusing technical equipment.

    Learning by doing is the main part of this mod-ule. Participants will go through the whole creativeprocess, that is, preparation, recording and post pro-duction of a short documentary.

    The results will be presented later at a FrankfurtSchool event and parts of it may even be used fora documentary about the Schools Bachelor pro-grammes.

    Learning goals Participants will experience teamwork in a crea-

    tive process Participants will be familiar with specialist terms

    and work ows of video production Participants will have developed a screenplay

    and a shooting list Participants will have used relevant technical

    equipment Participants will have designed moving images Participants will have gained understanding of

    creation and usage of lm as a marketing in-strument

    Participants will never again watch a lm or aseries without analyzing the editing, cameramovements and lightning.

    ActivitiesAfter a general introduction participants create

    their own short documentary in the following days.They will work in small groups, familiarize themselves

    with the equipment, create and organize a conceptfor the content and look of their lm.

    On the second day we will focus on post produc-tion. Again, after a short presentation the partici-pants edit and colour their own footage.

    PreparationConsciously watch online lm clips or TV documen-tary programmes such as Xenius on Arte, news, lmsand TV series.
