Reminder: Community WorkshopsCombined Regional Community

Strategic PlanUpper Lachlan, Goulburn Mulwaree and Yass ValleyCouncils are working together to prepare a combinedRegional Community Strategic Plan (CSP) under the LocalGovernment Act, to ensure the Region has a strongervoice in State Government decisions on regional planningand funding to ensure the needs and aspirations of thesecommunities are recognised and fulfilled. Free Green Waste DisposalCouncil wishes to remind residents that all Upper LachlanShire waste facilities accept lawn clippings, leaves andprunnings (less than 5mm diameter) free of charge.These items are to be placed in the designated location,as directed by the attendant. They are not to be discardedin plastic bags, boxes or any other container, or to beplaced with other bulky green waste or in general wasteareas. This service has been provided to the residents of UpperLachlan Shire to reduce the volume going to landfill via thegarbage collection and to eliminate decomposing greenwaste building up amongst the bulky green waste andcausing mulching equipment malfunctions.
