Welcome To THe college of HeAlTH AND BeHAVIoRAl ScIeNceS

For more than four decades the University of Central Arkansas has been preparing practitioners, educators, and researchers in a broad range of health-related professions. The College awards more graduate degrees in the health and behavioral sciences than any other four-year institution in Arkansas. Advanced study opportunities for experienced professionals are available.

Faculty in the College are regarded by students as caring and concerned for their personal and professional development. Several have been recognized nationally for their expertise and leadership. Our faculty continuously evaluate practice environments to ensure that graduates enter the profession with contemporary knowledge and skills. We seek students who have a strong willingness to learn, and a commitment to make a difference in the lives of others.

As a registered nurse for the past thirty years, I have worked in a variety of areas including clinical teaching in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing

program at UCA. My teaching experience inspired me to return to

achieve my Master of Science in Nursing in the Nurse Educator track.

I am looking forward to the opportunities that my new degree

will provide for me. My family and children have been very supportive of my returning to school. However, it

is my dad who has been the most proud of me!
