AMREF

1- TERREWODE provides community-based reintegration services for fistula clients in 5 sub-countiesin each of the Districts in which they are active. In addition to their community based reintegration, they are conducting Community Sensitzation on Fistula;

2- Fistula Outreach Services take place at the health centre in which the outreach is located at least once in a year. Development partner support includes support for an expert fistula team (surgeon,nurse and anesthetist); provision of necessary medical equipment and supplies; and training of additional visiting surgeons (at Mable and Kisiizi Hospitals, on-site surgeons are trained by AMREF).

3- Mentorship Camps include surgical repair for women with fistula, on-site training and mentorshipfor fistula repair teams, and provision of necessary equipment including fistula repair kits, operating table and lights.

4- Community Sensitization on Fistula includes information on how a fistula is formed, how to prevent a fistula from occuring, the importance of natenatal care, delivery with a trained health care provider and family planning.
