Twas the last night of the semester, and all through the school,

Not a student was sleeping, but the Hornet was cool.

He took the time daily to do things with care,

In the hope that compassion will forever be there.

He went to a food shelf with a box full of treats,

Because helping our neighbors is a generous feat.

On the way to the library a sad student was cold,

So Buzz gave his scarf, dark green with some gold.

Then he stopped by the D-Hall and what could you see?

But a plate full of goodies being served by a bee.

Now time for the cards to spread holiday cheer,

It’s a way to send kindness to friends far and near.

Once the snow started coming and covered the ground,

A snowman was built, all frosty and round.

On a trip to the library, Buzz took a slight spill,

But some friends came to help as a sign of goodwill.

What else can he do, to be caring and kind?

Arts and crafts, to be shared, if you are so inclined.

It’s not just the people, who need love this season.

So do our animals for so many reasons!

When the dorms needed cleaning, Buzz lent them a hand.

And baked friends some cookies, there’s such high demand.

It’s small acts like these that make us feel joy.

For helping our loved ones, beats any old toy.

Giving and kindness, is what this season’s about

We know you will join us, we have little doubt.

From your friends here at Lyndon, to those we hold dear,

Happy Holidays to all, and to all a good year!
