This is the instructions for how to fill in the sheet “Available fields of study”. It is automatically read into a database so it is very important that you fill it in correctly. Below is a short explanation for how this should be done. There is also an example in the “Example” sheet.

First you enter the name of your university (from the drop down list).

The columns with bold text are mandatory (i.e. they have to be filled in). The other columns are optional but you are encouraged to fill in a link to a homepage if you have one. You enter the information on sheet “Available fields of study”.

EU subject code/Fields of study – Go to the “EU subject codes” sheet and see where your subject fits. Enter the EU subject codeof study, e.g. 7.2.

Mobility (1-5) – Enter, in number format (1 to 5), the type of mobility (1 = Undergraduate, 2 = Masters, 3 = Ph D, 4 = Post doc., and 5 = Staff). The scholarships are approx. 3-10 (effective) months for undergrads, 22 months for M Sc, 34 months for Ph D, 6 months for post doc, and 1-3 months for staff.

University subject – Write the name of your academic field. In most cases this is the same as the name of your department/unit, e.g. Geology,Limnology or Spanish language.

Name of course/program – Write the name of your course or program. This is only relevant on undergraduate, masters, and maybe Ph D level. Write name/names of available courses (undergrad) or name of program.

Language – Specify with a language code what language the course/program is conducted in. Below are examples of language codes. Max number of scholarships – Write how many students/staff you can (maximum) accept for this program/courses/exchange.

This is in no way a binding agreement to accept a certain number of students or faculty members. This is the maximum number you can acceptunder the condition that they meet your requirements.

Explanatory text – Give a short description of your courses, masters program, Ph D subject, or research (max 200 characters). Homepage – Give a link to your homepage (if any). Observe that this link should be specific for the course/program. Duration (months) – Enter a number corresponding to the length of the education. Not applicable for undergraduate, post doc. and staff

exchange. Earliest start date (yyyy-mm-dd) – Write when the course/program starts. Write in the form YYYY-MM-DD (students are not allowed to
