    Using the Absorb Learning Management System The Absorb Learning Management System is replacing Torch on 7/6/20.

    Try It Out When you log into Absorb, you will be brought to the Learner Dashboard. The Learner Dashboard has tiles for Resume, My Courses, Inbox, Resources, & Catalog.

    The Resume tile lets you resume any course you have in progress.

    Click the Resume button to resume the eLearning you have in progress.

    The My Courses tile will show your courses. A course is considered a class, CBL, eLearning, video, tip sheet, or PowerPoint that you are enrolled in, have attended, or have viewed in the past.

    My Courses will show courses based on recent activity.

    You can change the sort of courses by selecting another option from the dropdown. For example, select Mandatory if you would like to sort by your mandatory courses.

    Each course will show as a card. Cards will display in different colors based on the assignment & completion status.

    Green highlighted cards represent courses that have been completed.

    Orange highlighted cards represent courses that need to be completed.

    Blue highlighted cards represent courses that are in progress. Please note – if you restart an eLearning or video that you have completed in the past, it will show as in progress. The course will display as complete for your transcript, but it will also show as in progress for easy access to resume.

    An exclamation point in the corner of the card represents a mandatory course.

    A clock represents a course that has an expiration date.

    Hover your mouse on view to see the date & time of a class you are enrolled in.

    Click View to see more details & options for rescheduling.

    1. Date & Time of the class 2. Buttons to add to Outlook calendar, change the session you are enrolled in, & cancel the session. 3. Instructor 4. Location of the class.

    Click Start to start an online course or enroll in a class.

    Click Start from the course information screen to play the video or open the course.

    The Catalog Tile takes you to the list of available courses.

    Click the magnifying glass to open the search field.

    Free text the name of the course in the search field.

    The list of available courses will display. In-person & virtual classes will display with a Type of Instructor Led Course. AMTs, CBLs, videos, assessments, tip sheets, & PowerPoints will display with a Type of Online Course.

    You can filter by the type of course. For example, check the box next to Instructor Led if you only want to see Instructor Led courses.

    Click Enroll to enroll in the course.
