THANK YOU, SINGERS AND MUSICIANS! Wow! What a season we have enjoyed! Fantastic mu- sic from our adult and children choirs, Legacy Concerts, The Florida State Singers, powerful Lenten hymns and choral anthems, then DuBois’ “The Seven Last Words of Christ” - a stirring musical offer- ing from our choir and musicians telling the passion of Christ and the glory of God’s love!! Thank you, Wayne Millet, Director of Music, and Margie Sanders, Organist, Connie McFarren, pianist; our choir, our soloists from our Trinity Chancel Choir; guest musicians from the Pensacola Symphony. Wow, wow, wow! We have experienced the glory and power of music this spring! Well done, one and all! Will you help purchase the new organ? If you have experienced these musical offerings you know that our forty-plus-years old Allen electronic organ died and we have been renting another electronic organ to accompany our choirs on those anthems and works for which our tracker pipe organ does not have the range of sounds and settings needed. The Taylor and Booty tracker mechanical pipe or- gan is excellent at much of our music but for the bulk of the modern nineteenth and twentieth century anthems we sing, the Allen offers the necessary range and instrument sounds. Combined, the two or- gans cover the scope of music we utilize. A team from our Worship and Facilities Teams and our Music Department (Ginger Caro, Melba Pow- ell, Mary Ruth Dobie, Jim Green, Jim Patteson, Wayne Millet, and Margie Sanders) investigated this organ and other organ options and reported to our Budget and Finance Team and our Legacy Team that this Allen Organ is an excellent match for out musical needs, our sanctuary space and our acous- tics. Dollarhide Music has been gracious to let us rent this organ from their inventory, and as they close their business in May we have been offered this organ at a discount price of $68,100.00 rather than the normal $98,500.00. Should we refuse the offer, two other churches stand ready to purchase this organ if and when it is removed from our sanctuary and returned to Dollarhide’s store, and once it is returned the new vendor will ask full price $98,500.00 after May 10. The Legacy Team has recommended to the Session that we agree to Dollarhide’s price and purchase the organ after a short but intense fund raising campaign in April, using endowment funds to cover the balance remaining. To date, I have received verbal pledges totaling $25,090.00 toward the purchase of the new Allen organ. Will you help us make this purchase by contributing or pledging toward the $68,100.00? Please contact Hugh at the church (432-3505) or email me with your offer, and look for a mailing from the church giving full details and asking everyone to consider how they may help make this happen. Together we can supply our amazing musicians and singers the full range of instruments to support their music for the next forty to fifty years! Thank you.

Hugh and Trinity Friends, Just a short note to thank you for all the prayers sent our direction! Mary Lou (Trinity’s former secretary) and I both are so appreciative! She is not making much improvement right now but we hope that God's inten-tions match our prayer requests to Him. Can't say that I am the best caregiver but my cooking skills are improv-ing, cleaning abilities getting better, but still lacking in the virtue of patience! I believe that I can clearly hear God laugh (He does that) when I ask for more patience. Great to know that He has a sense of humor since mine wanes during some times each week ...but He restores it when He makes me count my blessings! God Bless! Dick Thayer ps...please tell the prayer group we are ever indebted to them but try to pay back through prayers for others in greater need.

Dear Trinity Church, We just wanted to thank you so much for the gift of food to help us take care of each other while Annette was hospital-ized. It was a real blessing! Sincerely, The Wells Family

HELPING HANDS MINISTRY: If you could use a hand with a project around your home or you're able to lend a hand, please contact Dave Blodgett at 438-2928 or 341-3937

Dear Trinity’s Children and Young People, What a neat treat you pre-pared and shared with me and others after church March 13! The soup, bread, and even “home made butter” not only made a great lunch, but showed that you care and that Jesus’ love helps you do nice things for others. Thank you, Thank you and may God bless you all! Sincerely, Jeanne Franz

Dear Colette and Trinity Youth, Potato and leek soup has been one of my favorites. It was delicious. The bread, butter and chocolate cake made it a delicious meal. Thank you Allison Jones and Brantley for finding us and delivering the basket! The children of Trinity have al-ways been special to me. They assisted in the 2 cents a meal program that I was involved in, to feed the hungry. In His service, Morgan Bunch

Dear Trinity, I can’t thank you enough for the beautiful memorial service for Daddy. It meant so much to Mama, Bill and me. We could definitely feel your love and appreciation for Daddy. You all meant so much to him and he missed you terribly when he and mama moved to live with us. Thank you Hugh for the wonderful scripture, prayer and kind words. Thank you choir for the beautiful music. Mama was singing along. Thank you to all those who prepared the food and helped to organize and set up. We love you all and are blessed to call you friends. Love, Mary Gene, Bill and Lynn (The Fleming Family)

Dear Trinity Care Team, On behalf of my family, I would like to thank you for your support with the reception after the service for Hans. With so many decisions to make, it was comforting to know you were handling all the details so beautifully. I will always appreciate the Christian love you showed to me during this difficult time. I am grateful for your friendship and kindness. Sincerely, Jayne Felix

A Note from Wendy: My nephew Nick Sampson, a college student in my home state of Michigan, came to Pensacola for his Fall Break this past October with my niece Emily and my mother, Jean Wiedenbeck. Their trip randomly coincided with our 2nd Trinity Stop Hunger Now Event. They were able to lend their hands to our mission which packed 51,192 meals for this amazing organization. I am very proud to share this note I received recently from him after he returned from his Sophomore 2016 Spring Break Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic:

Hi Aunt Dee, I just got back last night from my service learning trip in the DR. I just thought it would be cool to share with you that all the meals we made through Sto-pHungerNow back in the fall were used extensively down there to feed the malnourished kids and families. It was really cool to see some prior service come full circle and see first hand how much it impacts those in need. Love, Nick Thank you Trinity, for affording the opportunity to show our own youth, friends, and family ways we show the love of God in the world. It’s amazing how many ways this church reaches out. Thank you God, for the love Trinity shows to our brothers and sisters in Christ. Sincerely, Wendy Davies

With sadness, we announce the death of Augusta Haire of St.

Johns Creek, Georgia on February 4, 2016. Augusta was a member

of Trinity prior to her move to Georgia, and was a beloved volun-

teer in the Trinity church office for many years.

Presbyterian Women Plan Mother's Day Celebrations Two special events are on tap for Mother's Day at Trinity Presbyterian Church. First, during our Sunday May 8th worship services, the recipient of the annual Presbyterian Women Honor-ary Life Membership will be announced. This annual award is given to a Trinity member in rec-ognition of her outstanding service to our church and community. After services, members will have the opportunity to meet her in the church parlor, as we celebrate the blessings in the lives of Presbyterian Women with our annual Presbyterian Women's birthday gathering. So consider yourself invited, and join us for birthday cake and refreshments after the Sunday Mother's Day services, as we spotlight Presbyterian Women's financial support of special mis-sions. This year, there are four recipients of grants from the 2016 Birthday Offering. Your sup-port will help at-risk youth in Kansas and Florida, girls in South Sudan, and families in Califor-nia living in sub-standard housing. Checks should be made to Trinity Presbyterian Women, noting birthday offering on your check. We hope you will join us for this special celebration.

Hey YOUTH!

Youth Sunday is April 24th, so we will be committing a significant amount of time to preparing this month. We will take a break from our preparations on April 10th to go bowling at Cordova Lanes. Bring $10 for bowling and additional money for any re-freshments you might like. Gulf Breeze and First Presbyterian have been invited to join us. On April 17th, bring your favorite ice cream topping and we will have an Ice Cream Party after Youth Sunday Rehearsal. To celebrate after all of your hard work, we will go to Georgio’s. Bring $10.

you!

The Presbyterian Women of Trinity are collecting

aluminum beverage can tabs. These tabs provide

revenue for The Ronald McDonald House. The House

provides housing and meals for families who are

from out of town and have very sick children in the

hospital. You may place your tabs in the basket

with a bow on it in the narthex of the church.

Thank you for helping!
