Trails
I’m sure they will be muddy very soon! We will have lots
to fix at the first work party. Also get your trimmers
sharpened for Spring! Anyone who can trim the trail
back please do so. Just try and cut back as far as you
can so it last longer :) Anyone that wants to adopt a trail
would be great! Just Call Ellen or Greg. Weeds always
grow faster then we can ride on 40 miles of trails!
Camp
Not looking to bad, we will have a few water faucets to
fix that froze over winter. We hope not to many more
are damaged. Please park on gravel till camp drys out,
we don’t want anyone stuck or big ruts as the ground
starts to thaw…if ever!
Work Party March 22 & 23
Agenda
1)Fix Water faucets. 2)Deep Clean Pavillion. 3)Deep
Clean Kitchen. 4)Deep Clean Restrooms (AHHHH)
5)Organize Kitchen. 6)Someone to Cook Lunch
Saturday 7)Stock Restrooms 8)Weather
dependent….Pick up sticks around camp. May check
some of the trails. I am sure a few other things will
come up that day depending on the turn out and
weather. We need a good crew and we will have the
heat and hot coco ready for all!!
Civic Center
Bernie turned in another $1054.20 for January! Great
job everyone! And the word is Saturday night tips were
$104 this past week, holy smokes what are you guys
doing do there! Having a blat I hear! We have a mad
dash of events to wrap up the season of working at the
Civic Center. March is packed full so please check the
schedule and if you can help even for a short bit (haha)
please let the ladies in charge know.
Stark Parks News
Calling all Equestrians! You are invited to the Sippo
Lake Club House for a meeting on the future of horse
trails that Stark Parks will be making and up keeping.
They will be discussing the spending of our donation of
$15,000 that we gave them over the years. Lets show
them we care and pack the place out. 6p-9p Monday
April 21. So this meeting is well organized we are asking
you bring all your questions in writing to our next
meeting our email them to Bernie so that all the
questions can be asked by our spokesperson Mike
Bagley. He has done a wonderful job with this so far so
lets let him keep up the good work. Please give them all
questions before the meeting. We want to look
professional and well organized and this will help when
the room is packed. We hope to see many of you here
to show your love for the trails so they are shown we
really care about them. Address - 5300 Tyner ave nw,
Canton, Ohio 44708. #330-477-3552 (Sippo)
Raffle Fun Is Just Beginning!
Kliff C. Is getting everything together to start mailing out
all the tickets to every member. Please try to sell them
or by them yourself. As we say every year, this can be
our best money maker if all members just bough their 5!!
ONLY $20 and you can win $1500 great odds! You
have from now till August to save a whole $20 to buy
these tickets, I think you can do it!! :) If you can run a
booth and sell tickets please call Kliff also.
Sweetening The Pot!
We will have prizes for the Top 3 Raffles Ticket sales
people this year!! Hoodie, tshirt, hats! Maybe we will get
the next logo on them too…never know you would have
the first ones to have it! Kliff and Jessie have already
claimed top sellers and have taken themselves out of
the running so that everyone lese has a chance. So lets
see what your made of and race to the finish of who can
sell the best!!
FREE PARTIES
Gordan K. Has brought up that we should also sweeten
the pot for our work parties. We are in major need of
help at these and really love seeing everyone at all the
events too. We know times are tough on many right now
sooooo….come work at least 4 hours at a work party
and you will still get ½ off a event. But (and I mean a big
quarter horse butt), if you do 2 work parties @ 4 or more
hours each you get a FREE Event! Also you can use
your ½ off or free ticket to any event throughout the
year excluding Ox Roast. OQHA ride you can use a ½
off ticket this year!! Ticket must be used in the year
given and whom ever works is the one to get the
discount. So if you come as a couple and you have a
free pass, the other person has to pay full price unless
they worked as well. Use on a meal or the whole
weekend, your choice. So bring everyone with you to
the work parties and you can all be free! We really hope
to see a good turn out. If you are standing around
looking for something to do, walk the trails and trim back
everything before it starts to grow! This will forever need
being done so don’t ever say there was nothing to do
haha. We will try and post a list each month here & at
camp as well.
Postcards
We voted on printing post cards for advertising our
festival this year and another one to list all of our
events. If you would like a stack of them to pass out
places please call Cynthia B. Or email. The more we
pass out the bigger the crowd!! Lets see how big we
can make our events this year...Im challenging you! This
is a free way for you to help YOUR CLUB…it’s helping
you too!
Equine Affaire
Please Call Ellen or Sally if you can help for even an
hour. We would love to have a schedule set up before
we go so we know how to plan. These ladies always go
and set up and take down so can we help them run it!!
And when your done you can hang out in a awesome
place and see some shows!
Scrub A Dub Dub
Well we have had people sign up for most of the events
to run them but we need a crew of 2-3 people for each
event to take charge of cleaning up after each meal. Its
tons of work to cook and clean so if we can split this
that would be great! Most of the time people do step up
but we would like it if you can let the main crew know in
advance so they can plan too. We want all of our
members to enjoy the weekends, not just work them all!
Every little bit (haha) helps! (After most events, when
she can, Lynn Shuman Deep cleans the kitchen and
pavilion which is much appreciated as well and not
many see this, thank you!)
Ben Luster Update
We raised $610 from our membership in the last month!
So with Tri-Co we were able to give Clarence a check
for $1110 to take to Ben. We know its not much when
bills are high but we hope it helps encourage to know
we do care and are here for them! He will be
undergoing StemCell treatment very soon. He will have
to stay there 3-5 weeks which is even more stressful.
Clarence is still not well himself, please keep the whole
family in your prayers. Ellen will also keep us posted on
the new dig of Ed Willard as well.
50/50
Amy C. Won the 50/50 with a whole $15! Congrats!
DRINK UP!
As of March 3 we have a pop machine! Great Job Greg
and the long search is over. As soon as it is shipped in
we will have it stocked and ready for your enjoyment. 13
bottled Choices!
