TregullandNestled in a valley on the edge of Bodmin Moor, Tregulland in North Cornwall is a self-catering Cottage and Barn set in 16 acres of private grounds.

Hire the whole property for exclusive use of 22+ or hire just the Cottage with 6 bedrooms, or just the Barn with 5 bedrooms. All bedrooms are en suite including Hansgrohe rainfall showers, and larger bathrooms have roll-top baths.

Tregulland is a child-friendly property with cots and extra beds available by request.

The CottageWith a delightful English eccentric design and expansive living areas, the Cottage is ideal for large groups and parties.

From admiring the view or enjoying a book in the sunroom to banqueting with friends and family in the impressive dining room, the interlinked space is truly stunning.

MeadowsweetFull of character, it has bluey greeny colours, quirky fabrics and a fairyland - quality.

AngelicaEnjoy views of the valley from this zingy room. French doors lead out to the Cottage terrace.

CelandineAt the top of its own staircase, Celandine has an elegant feel. It has a Juliet balcony with great views of Bodmin Moor and the fishing lake.

ValerianValerian is the oldest room at Tregulland, with a wall of mirrors and a crystal drop lamp. It could almost be a room from a cottage in a Grimm’s fairy tale.

SaxifrageUpstairs in the Cottage, with views across the valley, Saxifrage is a seriously cosy room to escape to.

Wood AvenWood Aven is a great bedroom for those who love to while away time with a book or writing. It is light and airy as it has double aspect windows with views of the valley and the pool house.

The GroundsTregulland’s 16 acres are for the private use of guests, including landscaped lawns, courtyard, woodland plantation, 1 acre fishing lake and stream.

Look out for Doris the 23lb carp and see if you can spot kingfishers, starlings, Canada geese, buzzards, peregrines and our owl, during your stay.

The Pool HouseThe walls are lined with slate and the room is backlit at night which means evening swimming is very special - look up at the stars through the skylights.

Freshwater swimming means pure Cornish spring water maintained at the perfect temperature.

The Dutch TubOutdoor and wood-fired. Just outside the pool house, fire up the Dutch hot-tub, lower yourself in and look up at the stars.

The Steam RoomAfter a swim, once you’ve done a few lengths of the pool, the perfect way to relax is to enjoy the steam-room with the cleansing eucalyptus vapours. If you need to cool off there’s always the outside shower.

The BarnTregulland’s handsome Barn, with a modern British feel, is a temple of relaxation and convivial living.

Enjoy a big lunch or supper downstairs in the kitchen diner, and in the evening take a seat in the gabled Granary sitting room, lower the HD projection screen and get ready for movie night.

Tregulland has undergone a pioneering energy-smart renovation. Heating and hot water is powered by a state-of-the-art biomass boiler and solar panels, insulation is beyond modern regulations, lighting is low energy, electricity is supplied by PV panels and heat recovery and ventilation systems keep the buildings fresh. With extensive use of reclaimed and ethically sourced materials, vintage and up-cylced furniture and no compromise on quality of finish Tregulland is truly inspirational.

Out and AboutThe area around Tregulland abounds with lovely things to do. There are gorgeous beaches for surfing, swimming, lounging and rock-pooling (some of them are hidden but we’ll let you in to the secret), cliff side walks, pubs, ancient discoveries and of course famous attractions like The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Jack SteinJack was born in Cornwall and is the middle son of three boys. He began his career in the hospitality industry as a kitchen porter during school holidays in The Seafood Restaurant kitchen. At 16 he moved to front of house where he remained throughout his education. Jack completed a BSc in Psychology and an MA in Ancient History at Cardiff University.

Upon completing his masters in 2003, he then returned to The Seafood Restaurant as commis chef. After two years he then took up the position of sous chef at Rick Stein’s Café where he remained for another year.

Following this, Jack then went on to Paris to stage at La Régalade, which ignited a passion for travel and a period of stage work all over the world. Jack travelled to Australia for an extended stay at Tetsuya’s in Sydney, before exploring the Far East and Japan.

Upon his return to Padstow he re-entered The Seafood Restaurant and progressed to sous chef before moving on to a tournant role across the whole company. He is currently the head of development for the company, leading the installation and introduction of a development kitchen for the business, where new recipes and ingredients will be tested.

The Seafood Restaurant at TregullandWe are excited to announce that we have been working with Rick and Jill Stein’s world famous Seafood Restaurant in Padstow to bring you a private dining experience with a difference. Lead by their son Jack, guests can enjoy a six course tasting menu, exclusively designed to showcase the best seasonal produce and to bring you a taste of The Seafood Restaurant here at Tregulland. This bespoke service is ideal for special celebrations and is the perfect addition to any stay.
